Mei-Shun drove Ms. Scarlet toward another clinic managed by Dr. W today. The former dropped in Tsukuba horsey riding club, watched field condition and asked a lesson change. Now which is the shortest route to reach above lady? Car navigation system chose a lane between orchards of chestnut. Oh, many plum trees bloom in white, while light pink for some.
Oh, our backyard 梅 opened white flowers. It has got warmer than usual from yesterday, might let it go ahead. This tree is a kind of chimerical, whose solo branch blooms in pink. It is more flamboyant compared to others, yet Mei-Shun prefers the latter. One of reasons is that their buds resemble pearls. They also seem to give softer scent, enter houses with plum lovers.
Happy Birthday, Mr. Marumorita. Mikan-chan and Mei-Shun cordially wish your prosperous 8 years old. Thanks as usual for dancing with them, giving refreshed mood. Here are apples, carrots and cookies. By the way, it is the 2nd time both of above are dropped behind you within space for riding gears to be put on/taken off. Please keep healthy diet, let’s go together.
Mei-Shun shared lunch time with M-chan. Another nice coffee shop is located within University of Tsukuba campus, informed by gentle Professor M, the best moon photographer. 梅=ume plum blossom is often featured in February, here as well by 梅珈琲. Well, still a bit sore throat for the elder, their choice preferred milder drink, soup, bread and dessert.

We have 立春=risshun, the 1st of vernal 二十四節気 today. Still freezing outdoors, many children in our country are taught to sing 早春賦. It means an early spring poetry, with lyrics describing a season only by a name. Shin, Mikan-chan and Mei-Shun enjoyed 豆まき=roasted soybean spreading yesterday. Such an event at home would give good meals for birdies.
So we are at the end of solar January today. Since on Friday, Mei-Shun feels like it still continues toward weekend, with 節分=setsu-bun on Sunday. Among 4 of it before each beginning of seasonal 二十四節気 including 立春, 立夏, 立秋 and 立冬, the first one on rare February 2nd is the most known because it almost means lunar new year. Oh, how beautiful a 3rd crescent is, floating massive above dark horsey field!
Here Princess Cymby would arrive. Mei-Shun’s orchid ladies including this Highness and Mademoiselle Vert kindly bloom on happy anniversaries; Children’s Day, Christmas Eve/Day, her birthday, etc. That is because you bring Mikan-chan within each flower — is mom right, honey? Since coming 23rd and 24th mean above 2nds on lunar calendar, bright yellow in her eyes would return.
This is the day for me and mom to visit “Arles”. However, we already did it with dad driving Ms. Scarlet on Monday, picked up a Galette des Rois as mom’s birthday cake. We enjoy it, yet nobody has won a fève so far. That is why I wear a golden crown as a temporary queen who reign our family. On the other paw of mine, he departs for Portugal from tonight.

Great to see you again, Mademoiselle Angel and Mr. Marumorita. This is the 1st lesson here in 2025 for Mikan-chan and Mei-Shun. It is freezing under gray sky, started to rain in early afternoon when they danced with the latter boy. Oh, getting wet could lead to flu which tortured Shin all through year-end to new-year holidays. May they leave the field earlier, Ms. T?
