Shin and Mei-Shun celebrated 夏越の祓 tonight on a cup of coffee and 水無月=minazuki as usual. 若鮎=waka-ayu and カエルまんじゅう=kaeru-manju, shaped like sweetfish and smiling flog face respectively made friends with above one-day delicacy, while only the husband took the former. The wife was too much distracted by a ticket arrived minutes before to get shots against that novel coronavirus.
Mom, what are you eating? I like it as well, let me join you. However, climbing toward dining table seems strictly forbidden for me. If I try three times, she puts me into bed cage. My cry never works to her who moves to another room with a food plate. After around an hour, she returns and allows me to get up saying “honey, your paws go into the rest room. Please do not mix them with dad’s meal”.

Thank you so much, Master Bando, Mss. S and K who advised Mei-Shun to use anti-inflammatory patches. She actually had pain again after trying horsey riding on 9th — had been happy for losing it. It continued for a whole week this time, then moved to left groin. Hearing such a story, gentle master gave this 名取 of another party above medicine prescribed by her own home doctor.
Mei-Shun cleaned a mirror whose grapevine frame is very cute. She brought it from her parents’ home when married with Shin. However, it reflects her face looking older, maybe because it has been forced to stay in dust since moved to Ibaraki. It is one of sacred items which symbolize Gods at shrines for example, must be kept shining. Now we would expect together that round beauty in the sky tonight.
Elder sister of Mei-Shun sent her boxes of season delicacy as usual. The latter is really a fruits lover like beloved father, especially above jewelry and peach. White-flesh melon, apple, kiwi and orange follow by a fine line while grape, strawberry and pineapple by a step. She admires their growers taking whom as brilliant artists or pâtissiers/pâtissières.
Mei-Shun found this lovely flower on a pot where Shin’s Christmas gift were arranged years before. She first thought they were twins, yet little another found twining around the tallest one. Hi, great to see you here again. Which do you represent; Shin, mom-in-law and MS, or this couple accompanied by Mikan-chan? Either would be fine, with only difference that the wife is shorter than the husband.
Meow, my day has come. Mom seems quite happier these days, partly because my eyes stopped shedding tears — she used to wipe them out blackened and dry along nose almost every day. Yes, since tasty jelly joined my menu, I feel better. Dad is also pleased, wants me to get a bit plump. “In order to survive if you have any appetite-stealing disease,” he says. We have 夏至=geshi, the 4th of summer 二十四節気 today. It also means the longest daytime of the year, yet hardly recognized because of rainy season in our country. Ms. Piano, are your keys all right in such humid air? Clouds seem to stop covering the sky tonight. So could you join Mei-Shun to praise moonlight with great scores composed by Masters Debussy and Beethoven?
Mei-Shun continues practice of 松の緑. Master Bando kindly gave her its hand-written score consists of 9 pages. She managed to reach 7th, began to catch lyrics. Interestingly, Shin chooses favorite songs by what they say, while his wife by how melody sounds. However, when she moves to music, story becomes very important in order to play a kind of role.
Meow, my eating habit changed a little. Crisps and stewed meat had been regular menu, the former served anytime while the latter twice or three times a day. Jelly sticks, the best have joined them recently — or precisely last month. Mom gave me only 1 first, followed by 2 next week to final 3 as today, purr. Just one problem is that I say “Beow” instead of normal sweet voice when she prepares them.
