Mei-Shun’s mother has a recipe of soy sauce-soaked garlic chicken. It tastes good, Shin likes it very much. Looking into the refrigerator, Mei-Shun found a bundle of garlic. It seemed all right, but quite light … wow. Completely dry! After peeling, they are just like cashew nuts.
Shin came down with a nasty cold this weekend. Since he is working for a food company, year-end is the busiest time; he has to work 7 days a week. Mei-Shun therefore felt happy to see him stay at home, yet unhappy for his condition. So did Mikan-chan.
In the evening, a sudden cacophony of thunder fell, let all lights off. Only cooking fires with which Mei-Shun was preparing dinner left on. Simmering sound and blue gas fire caught our attention until TV voice, microwave alarm, phone recorder, etc. came back to cover them. 5-minute halcyon, old days might be a gift from the nature.
Mei-Shun caught a cold. A slight fever, stomachaches, a sore throat and running nose, sleepiness … might be among the worst happenings in preparation for a stage performance. She only hopes that accumulated training so far works well.
Mei-Shun received a letter of estimate for a batty-repellent measure. Shocking price – it costs as much as she dances on the stage twice. Oh, you are shocked? Yes, amateur dancers have to pay for rental costumes, make-ups, stage settings, etc. by themselves.

Mikan-chan sometimes forgets her rest-room place. It’s not so often, but when Mei-Shun is too busy, she cannot help ignoring her daughter’s love call. Mikan-chan feels displeased, and … oh, stop it, darling.
The bat seems to have returned to our air conditioner – Mei-Shun found a piece of “droppings” on the floor. When she pressed the covering bottom, more fell from the narrow slit between the equipment and the wall. We decided to call a professional, who must be an animal lover, to deal with it.
Mei-Shun was very lazy during obon holidays. No exercise, too much eating — the worst way for dancers. She returns to normal today, feeling refreshed, yet putting on a bit excess weight around her waist. Oh-oh.
Typhoon Halong hit Anan City, Tokushima Prefecture this weekend. One junior high school there, designated as a shelter, has been inundated to force the evacuees to flee upstairs. Master Mei-Shu comes from that place. Mei-Shun felt so worried about her relatives and friends that e-mailed to her. No problem, she replied. It sounds great.
