Meow, it is 朔日 of lunar August today. I and mom turned to our 氏神 shrine to greet Gods, make a wish and draw omikuji lots after giving dad a ride by Ms. Scarlet to the nearest station. 小吉=sho-kichi, 末吉=sue-kichi: a little, the least lucky respectively? Hmm. Also a date for us to visit “Arles”, shall we try again in the evening? Or accept them as sacred voice? That sounds better, purr.

We are expecting a monthly Blue Moon, the biggest in 2023 tonight. At the end of solar August, Mei-Shun feels summer would really be over; sunrise is getting later, sunset earlier, sunshine creeps into rooms more and more in daytime. She headed her horsey riding club for a class starts at 16 : 00. It is always nice to walk and trot with you, Ms. Last One.
Meow, this is the date of a month for me and mom to visit “Arles” together. However, that pâtisserie is closed on Tuesdays while one of 2023 important days for our country. We therefore would do it tomorrow when lunar July starts. Typhoon Lan made landfall onto Kansai area, heading north. It gives a heavy rainfall in Kanto as well, waters me on slimmer Mademoiselle Vert.

Purr, here is a wonderful gift from dad to mom. He might mean to celebrate our new outer wall in “moon mist” shade completed on Wednesday. Professor M, thank you so much for sending her a glossy image of Green Corn Moon. She would be able to enjoy another full supermoon at the end of this month, clearly through windows or safely from the roof floor.

We have a full moon tonight, still seen blurred to Mei-Shun’s eyes through a covered window. It would be removed tomorrow meaning our home repair finished. All 3 family members are well, 2 women at home while only man in Chicago. A clear 十六夜 is therefore wished by the former. And the latter could enjoy it on board perhaps, heading east to Boston.
Mei-Shun practices “Clair de Lune” composed by Master Debussy almost every day. Her fingers recognized recently a few progress; score pages turning reduced, sometimes never. That might mean she memorized 70 – 80% of it. By the way, shape of that graceful entity in the sky is blurred to her eyes these days — an enormous net covers all windows. She therefore walks out of home every night.
Meow, lunar June starts from today. I, dad and mom visited a little shrine located in 輪島 on weekend instead of the nearest one from home. A tiny, white friend of mine holds an omikuji lot giving us 楽=raku not any kind of 吉=kichi. You might be right — good luck comes from feeling happy. At least for mom who received the other artificial Ame-chan at Dr. M’s clinic.

One of problems Mei-Shun has since house repair began is that her favorite, great entity in the sky became invisible through windows. Covered with cloth like a mammoth mosquito net, only vague sights are available when she opens shutters. Still, it has been much improved compared to last week when all doors and windows were sealed with plastic sheets.
