Well, would you appear in such cloudy sky tonight, 仲秋の名月? Missing 十三夜 and 小望月 on weekend, Mei-Shun wished the most beautiful 十五夜. However, Typhoon Halong moves too slowly; born around far-southern Tokyo islands 小笠原, it almost walks on Pacific Ocean toward west. Getting bigger and stronger, it pours a lot of nimbus onto Kanto region.

Months Meet
StandardSo we are at the end of solar September. As Mei-Shun mentioned before, our country seems to experience 5 seasons an year instead of 4 these days. Well, cicadas were heard sing yesterday, while no chorus today. She felt weird between clavicles, much better right now. And hello, baby gecko, welcome to bedroom of Shin and his wife for the first time. Do little ants living on Mademoiselle Vert still feed you?
Momiji and Maple
StandardHere Shin kindly sent Mei-Shun photos taken in Canada: one of them is a supermarket accommodating a 楓 tree. It resembles Japanese breed planted along a street in Tsukuba. We are still in late summer, see almost no change among leaves there. On the other paw of Mikan-chan, North American temperature is already several degrees Celsius lower than ours.
Fluffy Fur
StandardWe are expecting a full moon, called Harvest Moon tonight. As Mei-Shun mentioned 2 months before, various beauty in night sky should have been enjoyed from last Thursday. A slight, much awaited rainfall covered 十三夜; 小望月 followed around midnight, after Typhoon Peipah had gone; 十五夜 appeared among thin clouds, making 朧月; 十六夜 was so clear that above wife rushed toward Shin.
Rainy Reason
StandardMei-Shun might hear drops fall from last night sky. However, her sandals on a verandah floor were safely dry this morning. Roofs of Mss. Scarlet and Moon as well, while looked a bit dusty. Which made it, dew or drizzle? She anyway got on the former heading Tsukuba horsey riding club, accompanied by Mikan-chan, let them know lesson cancellation again. We really miss you to dance, Mr. Marumorita.
Cuatro a Cinco
StandardLunar July started from Saturday. Mei-Shun meant to visit the nearest shrine, yet hard weather prevented her from it — heat rashes appeared on her upper body here and there, after she enjoyed dancing with Mr. Marumorita on Friday. They were exacerbated by artificial cloth used at a hair salon, made her give up above plan. According to Dr. K, we have 5 seasons instead of 4, including current “severest summer”.
Generous Guy
StandardMonday’s dance was great, yet gave Mei-Shun trouble on skin a little. Yesterday’s heat exacerbated it, forced her to cancel an appointment with other partner. Lovely Mr. Marumorita, please stay a good boy until Friday. She practiced rainy scores on Ms. Piano, not expecting such a thunderstorm tonight. It has nicely lowered temperature, called 打ち水効果=sprinkle effect by a forecaster.
Grandiflora Grace
StandardHappy birthday, mother who stays in 草津 as her summer retreat. She says it is quite cooler there, yet power outage caused by thunderstorms stopped water supply this year. Well, your younger daughter enjoys temperature of rainy season from yesterday with healthy taps. Which environment would you prefer, beloved father who loved above little flower?
Alert Aired
Standard… again today, in Ibaraki Prefecture. Mei-Shun canceled only one lesson to try dancing with Mr. Marumorita. She therefore puts on a 簪=kanzashi from Shin, normally for kimono style at home: even if without that traditional clothes, such hair accessories, 下駄=geta or Japanese wooden clogs and 羽織=haori jackets could let her enjoy similar atmosphere. Now her favorite rikishi would soon appear on 土俵 ring.
Paw Pulls
Standard山鉾巡行=floats parade of 前祭=祇園祭 previous celebration was held this morning in a downpour at our ancient capital. Japanese archipelago has been hit by stormy rainfalls since Typhoon Nari was born around 小笠原 islands. It already changed into a tropical cyclone, while seems to have brought tough, warm fronts. That allows Mei-Shun to enjoy singing moonlight scores with Ms. Piano.
