Mei-Shun loves to cook beans. Here are her favorite 花豆=hana-mame, runner beans came from 草津 via mom. They met during New Year holidays when the latter gave her younger daughter various, dried while gorgeous agricultural products. Now one of the most important points to make it a delicacy is to soak enough, until each bean returns to volume in pods.
I, dad and mom visited “Arles” together yesterday, purr. It is always mom who chooses 3 cakes for us respectively. We dropped in a sushi shop, came home to enjoy a table full of holiday delicacies. She opened a bag of Japanese tea; served not in green but brown, best before November 19th, 2023 while stored for at least one year and a half, as advised by a friendly shop clerk.

Thank you so much, Professor M. He gave Mei-Shun a photo of cute ume=plum flowers last week, informing her on his business trip to Tunisia. Regarding that flower, mom-in-law never forgets to cook お赤飯=red-bean rice on our national holidays. She puts it into a tiny 重箱=lacquered/layered box shaped like a red ume, which her son and daughter-in-law purchased.
Mei-Shun saw her home dentist Dr. M this afternoon for a routine checkup. The former dropped in one of her favorite bakeries before arriving at the clinic of course: delicacies would make her mouth happy who got over an exhausting procedure. Actually, Shin brought home lovely sweets on weekend, due by early days of next month. Some of you therefore will stay in a freezer.
So 2024 sees the 2nd Monday on our national holiday: 成人の日=Coming of Age Day following January 1st 元旦=New Year’s Day. Mei-Shun replenished 2 茶筒=green tea cans, walked to a nearby hair salon in a down jacket of Shin who went into futon again after breakfast. He is a bit too big to step over and reach her wardrobe. When they went out for shopping together later, she put on a coat in color of orange or Mikan-chan.
This is the last day in 2023 for me and mom to visit “Arles”, purr. A bit rainy under sky full of clouds, we got on Ms. Scarlet. 95% trees lining main streets in Tsukuba already took off colorful coats: only 5% keep still beautiful bright-to-dark red. I prefer such weather which make us sleepy, to freezing one eyes wide open. Here are delicacies we won including a macaron of my flavor or 福来みかん.

Mei-Shun does not mean a sweets shop, yet a bakery nearby a clinic her home dentist Dr. M works for. She makes it a rule to treat herself to baguettes with peanut/milk cream put between, before or after patience. It stopped raining around noon, slight sunshine came into rooms. The sooner the better — Mikan-chan, warm air and charming scent would encourage her.
Labor Thanksgiving Day it is, I heard from mom. However, she drove dad to the nearest station as usual. He seems a bit busy, after a short business trip to the U.S. last week. Now, shall we get ready for freezing weekend? Mr. Blue, great to see you again. What do you put on the head? お赤飯=red-bean rice cooked by mom’s mom-in-law living downstairs? Sounds nice, purr.

The only sad matter for Mei-Shun regarding current 九州場所 was absence of her favorite rikishi. They say he was injured in a leg during 巡業 tour held in October. So hard a job it is, building strong muscle and mind simply coated by their own fat. She therefore cheered all wrestlers, putting on a 羽織 jacket. Now it is over, let’s go to a restaurant serving longtooth grouper loved by above guys.
This is my lunar birthday, purr. I and mom got on Ms. Scarlet together at 13 : 00, headed her for the horsey riding club in a bit too warm air. It might be final to dance with you here, Ms. Last One. Please keep a good girl as I always do. Now we came home, ready to see numbers on a scale. They were fine enough, let us enjoy dinner full of various rice dishes and sweets.
