They are still involved in 京鹿子娘道成寺, yet in a bit different way after recent stage. 恋の手習い was dedicated to beloved Master Mei-Shu, while 花のほかには松ばかり=”only pine trees other than cherry” would be in Bando Ryu style.
Two weeks have already passed since Mei-Shun received a gorgeous bouquet from Shin on the stage. She learned how to enjoy it for longer: draw roses from a vase before they get too tired. Hangers are ready to dry them outdoors, while fragrant and snow-white lilies stay indoors with fresh water. They gently have made bedroom of above couple full of sweet aroma.
… it is today, after Mei-Shun performed precious role of 白拍子花子 on a stage. When she asked if Master Bando gives other lessons within 2020, the latter lady replied “yes, as usual”. On the other hand, beloved Master Mei-Shu used to wrap them up in November. Both ideas seem proper; one master takes 邦楽発表会 a special event, while the other a kind of workout.

… it is in 2020 given by gentle Master Bando to Mei-Shun today. The latter is cordially grateful to kindness and ardent instruction from the former lady so far, for intensive one and a half month. She has already decided to come back to 白拍子花子, one of the prettiest and the most difficult roles in kabuki dance. Hopefully on another stage after vaccination and specific medicines are firmly established for COVID-19.
Mei-Shun would be given three lessons from Master Bando before performance on a stage, including today’s. Thanks to mom-in-law who kindly sew a covering on the 手拭, she can enjoy practice with no concern for any stain on this beautiful partner. Mei-Shun finally received following 手拭=te-nugui to use in 恋の手習い, never to wipe hands. Beautifully done, it arrived yesterday at noon packed in a paper tube — no, a pretty box was rolled in a piece of cardboard with buffers, saying “handmade silk towel for kabuki dance”. Now she has to sew a little, thin covering on it to avoid stains when bit by 白拍子花子 missing her cold-hearted lover.
Here are face masks Mei-Shun purchased at her horsey riding club. Oh, please do not kick us, Mr. Tea Time. This candidate of your mom would like to dance with you more, yet is currently able to spare only once a week. She is looking forward to December when her performance on stage would be safely over. Mei-Shun went to a beauty saloon nearby Tokyo Station yesterday. Thanks to Mr. M, her fingers go smoothly in hair after treated, cut and dried by the chief beautician. She is too busy to squeeze a time to curl it till 邦楽発表会, yet had a chance to regain this style of her younger days tentatively. Oh, it started raining. “Clair de Lune” by Master Debussy would be the best to play tonight.
Recent one week sees Master Bando give Mei-Shun two lessons, normally on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Horseies are so lovely that the latter cannot stop driving to the club at least once except for Tuesdays, when it is closed to let them rest. And she plays with Ms. Piano a minimum of 4 days. Going to clinics, hair saloons and shopping have to be scheduled carefully not to be too tight.
