We have 春分=vernal equinox, the 4th of 二十四節気 today. Sunlight has drawn toward south, helps mom to put less shades on the floor. Momo-chan, our garden princess grows more and more buds who turned light pink from silver. Backyard plum tree is almost in full blossom, giving gentle scent. Morning 小望月 moon, thanks a million for your protection of mom who must have gone out in early time. She slipped into futon again, slept well with me until around 10 : 00. Fluffy Fur

Mikan-chan and Mei-Shun visited their Tsukuba horsey riding club, danced a little with Mr. White Mocha after Mademoiselle Angel in trot steps. Sunny weather with almost no wind, good exercise gave the latter slight perspiration. Since hung futon mats outdoors, she rushed back home. Thanks a million, blue sky, they are nicely dry. Although fine sweets included in her weight-control methods, they stay in mouth longer than others like cracker, cookie, chocolate, etc. That might be why she saw the most numbers in an year on a scale at night.

So we are on the last day of solar February, while lunar one starts from today. I and mom make it a rule to sing moonlight scores on Ms. Piano on behalf of that celestial beauty in 朔. School Song

We have 立春=risshun, the 1st of vernal 二十四節気 today. Still freezing outdoors, many children in our country are taught to sing 早春賦. It means an early spring poetry, with lyrics describing a season only by a name. Shin, Mikan-chan and Mei-Shun enjoyed 豆まき=roasted soybean spreading yesterday. Such an event at home would give good meals for birdies.

Portuguese Paw

Above is a friend of my breed dad saw in Madeira Island. I and mom do not know what his business is, while imagine it might be related to a wine produced there. He ordered 2 bottles of it for mom the other day, in a good combination with her birthday cake Galette des Roi. Hmm, he/she looks like that pie whose fève was finally found in the last piece this year.
