Meow, they announced on Saturday that 2023 rainy season seemed to have gone from Kanto area. Mercury indicates nearly 37 degrees Celsius today, mom’s temperature when she does not feel so fine. On the other hand, it is much cooler than our normal. I therefore prefer landing of stairs to the roof floor, or a south-facing window frame in dad’s study.

Here a fluffy whale shark joined Mei-Shun collection. All 3 air conditioners at home resumed, let her open an mammoth plastic bag covered this friend from the sea. How fine it is to spend normal time in the living room! A rare opportunity she and Shin had, to recognize that they benefit much from modern technology. It nicely lead them to the aquarium who accommodates a couple of above beautiful creature.
Mei-Shun found above 棗=jujube blooming. Tiny flowers in light green are difficult to see from a distance, yet she noticed them thanks to rice — water used to wash it is kept in an old kettle shaped like an orange (or helpful Mikan-chan). Then it works as a nutritive fertilizer, spread onto plants in our garden. Not only feeding many of us, this great staple food also grows tasty fruits.
We have 小暑=shou-sho, the 5th of summer 二十四節気 today while also 七夕=tanabata, when 織姫=orihime and 牽牛=kengyu meet at night across the Milky Way. Since Mei-Shun often confuse 天の川 with 銀河, she checked up these words online. They say solar system is included in 天の川銀河 or 銀河系. However, there are a lot of the latter according to Shin.
Yawn, this is the last day of dad’s birthday month on solar calendar. Also at the end of weekdays meaning Friday, it lets mom feel the former half of 2023 finished quite well. She already ordered 水無月=minazuki, an important sweets to celebrate today with him. Still in lunar May, our outer wall was repainted into shining white called by a pretty name shown above.

Meow, we have 夏至=geshi, the 4th of summer 二十四節気 today. Mom and I visited her horsey riding club with a rare chance of 梅雨の晴れ間, sunny days during an opposite season. The longest daytime of the year also served her well for dancing with Ms. Carino Piccola. She really means her name in Italian, yet less than I do of course. Shin finally decided to repair our house; change waterproof sheets on the roof floor, repaint outer walls. Since flowers and trees beside windows would be damaged, Mei-Shun dug up grapefruit and cactus for placing in other ground. The former 3 were gentle enough to let her find smooth shafts to pinch. However, the latter rejected her fingers with fine, painful thorns.
We have a full and Strawberry Moon last night, when Mei-Shun tried to take good shots of it. It was quite difficult for this poor photographer, while her skillful phone suddenly worked after a few second. Hmm, it seems to remove clouds aiming light only. Your kind help was highly appreciated. Now a shutter would cover the window — hi, here is a tiny guest. Please enjoy a sojourn until tomorrow morning.

Since this white beauty would be a pet for a member from next month, stop attending lessons at the club. Cool woods is the best place to enjoy a bit too sunny or rainy weather follows soon, isn’t it?
