Yes, Mei-Shun postponed an appointment with Dr. M toward this morning. Although a weekday between 3rd Constitution Memorial Day and 5th Children’s Day decades before, 4th Greenery Day was set as one of our national holidays. And that might be why the former could find vacancy on the latter lady’s schedule — most people go outdoors during Golden Week.

Hi Miffy, great to see you sleep in Ms. Cuby, a refrigerator of Mei-Shun. She ordered you to cook 糠漬け=nuka-tsuke, pickles made in fermented rice bran. Almost 20 years have passed since her older 糠床=nuka-toko, bed for ingredient vegetables, went into poor condition to be given up. Now is the time to resume it for Shin, whose check up is set 3 month later.

Almost 2 months have passed since Princess Cymby opened her first flower. One night Mei-Shun approached her nose to these ladies, noticed them give gentle aroma like dandelion. She has wondered so far why they have tiny, lovely drops of syrup under petals and stalk crotches — normal for plants to call bees and butterflies aiming pollination. Great to know that you are able to make seeds.
This is Girl’s Day, festival with dolls in kimono and peach flowers. Mei-Shun saw so-so numbers on a scale yesterday, pleased to celebrate her younger days with sweets including 水戸の梅 and のし梅, souvenir from Shin. Well, ume is a bit different from above 桃=momo while in the same family. 桜=sakura is as well, while she does not know which covers 芝桜, moss phlox.
Oh, what a gale it blows today! Mei-Shun still found ume plum buds growing in quieter morning, thanking a next-door neighbor who kindly cut big branches around above tree of chimerical flowers. This spring might see normal 三寒四温, 3 cold days before 4 warm ones. Solar February had a snowfall on the 2nd weekend, all dry through 3rd until sleet last night.
