Meow, today is my 18th birthday. And Respect-for-the-Aged Day this year, as the 3rd Monday from 2003 when I was born. Well, “aged” sound a bit weird to me who never get it, while count 88 years old exchanged into a human lady. That might mean mom’s habit of saying animals including my species are wiser than hers, purr. I’ll keep taking care of you, always have, always will.

Shin and Mei-Shun feel happy these days to see Mikan-chan sleep in her shining silver coat. She began to look a bit shaky in right rear leg several months before, made above couple scared of the day which they wish never comes. However, thanks to energy jelly sticks, she is all different right now — her eyes stopped sobbing, muscle grew up, etc. And oh, she quickly leaves a dining table when her mom returns from another room.
Meow, really an amazing change of air. A new month starts, hotness has all gone. Still, humidity seemed to stay in the bedroom of dad and mom. She put a dome-shape bed in mine, worrying a bit if I make it a restroom. That was because it is too fluffy to use at summer night, while welcome when it becomes much cooler like this early morning. Ms. Piano, thank you so much for always soothing Mei-Shun’s mind. You really are one of precious three featured herein. Mikan-chan, kabuki dance and you are her family of course, stay beside her even if she is closed indoors by recent thunderstorm, heat wave and evil disease. She resumed practice of “Golliwog’s Cake Walk” composed by Master Debussy for Shin who loves this score.
O-bon period of this year was a bit atypical. Heavy rainfall prevented Shin, mom-in-law and Mei-Shun from burning 麻幹=ogara as 迎え火=mukae-bi in 13th evening to welcome beloved dad-in-law. 送り火=okuri-bi, to say good-bye might be feasible tonight, yet it seems weird to do for them who did not say hello. On the other hand, cooler weather might be kind to those gather at 甲子園.
Mom has recently added one more jelly stick on my menu, purr. A bit soon, yet is it a birthday gift to me? I’m Virgo, you are Capricorn. We fit well in mind, species does not matter. By the way, it is really hot and dry today. Above delicacy is therefore the best in daytime, while crisps are in cooler early morning or after dark. Meat stew is for breakfast and nightcap. Please keep their good balance.

Mom, who is this one? One of my species living around the nearest station, I see. Dad sometimes catches their nice shots like above, while she takes my photos almost every day. You received an “Yes” phone call from Dr. A, look delighted. So if the next appointment with her next January could see you inoculated, everyone of our family except for ME would be a bit safer.

This weekend was brilliant for Mei-Shun. Her last day of July, Saturday was spent with Princess Maria and Ms. Last One after nearly 2 months. Following August 1st, Sunday was birthday of her mother who stays in 草津 on vacation. Receiving a pleased reply to her younger daughter’s congratulations, the latter dined out with Shin and mom-in-law at a grilled-eel restaurant.
Meow, mom left me alone in the morning for hair dyeing at a nearby salon. It abruptly rained hard, forced her to shut up all windows whose zips opened for good ventilation. Oh, you started an air conditioner in the living room, put on contact lenses like when going far out. Bedroom is also cooled and dried? Since your towel blanket got wet by southern wind.

Meow, my day has come again. I need mom’s attendance to eat enough crisps, or have to cry out for jelly sticks all the time. Torrid summer abruptly arrived last week while 大暑=taisho, the 6th and last of summer 二十四節気 today, made us feel tired. Mom’s condition clearly affects me: when it is not good, she cannot take good cares of washing my bowl, restroom cleaning, brushing and talking to me in soft voice.
