Yes, it came again with a wide and gorgeous iris bed. 乙戸沼 accommodates wide area for aquatic plants, getting into full blossom at the beginning of June. We have 入梅=nyu-bai, one of 9 雑節 today while 梅雨=tsuyu or rainy season has not yet been declared in Kanto Area. Ms. Piano, would you join Mei-Shun to play that masterpiece composed by Mr. Chopin?

Mei-Shun has become in hobby. She plays piano from 5 years old, had taken lessons till 18. Her university days were full of Shakespeare. After marriage and moving into Ibaraki, she found a photo of Master Mei-Shu in a stage costume on PC and was very much interested in kabuki dance. And it was Shin who recommended horsey riding 6 years before.

We have 小満=shoman, the 2nd of summer 二十四節気 today. It means rainy season in Okinawa connected with next 芒種=boshu, while this week saw 梅雨の走り full of humidity and dark clouds around here. Now Ms. Piano, could you join Mei-Shun to sing moonlight scores composed by Masters Beethoven and Debussy? She saw the 3rd crescent last week, yet that was the only chance so far to see that beauty.

Today is Showa Day, named after a late emperor who represented an era Mei-Shun was born. Good rainfall continues from early morning. How do you take it, recent all-dry 2 weeks around here? Mei-Shun does as a kind of relief, hearing exultation song from everybody in our garden including Ms. Scarlet. Ms. Piano, shall we sing moonlight scores in order to ask clear sky tomorrow?

Meow, mom started to learn on Ms. Piano how to play Étude Op.10-3 “Tristesse” or “L’Adieu” composed by Master Chopin. Such feeling comes from hurt Ame-chan, a molar tooth on her upper right jaw. Already 70% artificial, it was recently found cracked in natural part. That sometimes causes a kind of pimple on gum, forces her to take an antibiotic.

Finger Fatigue

TV news featured a lady soon reaching 100 years old this morning. She played well the 1st movement of “Moonlight” and “For Elise” composed by Master Beethoven. These are in repertoire of Mei-Shun who has approximately half the age of above grandma. Ms. Piano, do you understand why neither of them play the 3rd movement of the former piece again?

Spring Sea

Mei-Shun thought of the stage performance by beloved Master Mei-Shu to 春の海=haru-no-umi. This score is played by 箏=koto and 尺八=shaku-hachi, vertical bamboo flute. Such ones are quite difficult to dance to, for the reason that they have no fixed story. Lyrics therefore make it easier to imagine how leading roles look, move and speak. By the way, does it have piano arrangement?

Poor Princess

Oh, what happened to Nausicaä? Or to Mei-Shun who asked Shin to order a score book composed by Mr. H. Joe. It was to play “Windy Valley” featuring above heroine on Ms. Piano, yet these clumsy fingers touch a lot of wrong keys today. They spare no time to practice “Princess of Mononoke” instead for latest months, making it sound so-so if played slowly.

Today’s music aired at the horsey riding club reminded Mei-Shun of her repertoire again — Impromptus, Opus 90, Allegro composed by Master Schubert. She practiced that bright tune too much after dancing with Princess Maria, has got a bit hurt in fingers. The former is currently better at reining the latter lady, might receive message from the  great artist.
