Pink Twins

Standard

Mei-Shun feels so happy for finding three lady’s tresses in the garden. They share microbes with lawn, often grow on it not-so-much taken care of — like the wide garden of the museum she and Shin visited the other day. Clay images shaped like ancient warrior, pot and horsey, among which she most loves the last one of course, are arranged in front of the main building.

Tasty Cat

Standard

He, le chat aux yeux d’or, comes from 友部 Service Area on 常磐 Highway. When Shin and Mei-Shun dropped in there returning from 水戸, they were lucky enough to encounter stalls of pottery. Many pretty bowls for natto, fermented soybeans, were featured this time. After scrutinizing every shop, they decided to bring him home. Please help Shin to diet, darling.

Golden Horsey

Standard

Shin and Mei-Shun drove to a museum in 水戸 on weekend to see the crown trimmed with horse-shape metal beads found in 三昧塚 ancient grave. On the ground floor, you can enjoy putting on a replica set around a black cap. Another mock-up more similar to the real one is exhibited in a glass box upstairs, accompanied by a pair of earrings. Beautiful full moon, they shine just like you.

Color of the Sea

Standard

It is Marine Day today, often equivalent to the start of summer vacation for school children. Here Mei-Shun received her watch fixed perfectly. Since blue belt on the right was broken, she asked replacement by similar one. So beautifully done, she is quite satisfied. Thank you very much, Shin. It was one of gifts from him before they married, to match her engagement ring with a sapphire.

Pretty & Tough

Standard

Mei-Shun found a butterfly baby on the wall of front porch last night. No leaf around it, alone, looked a bit bizarre under lamp light. His/her intention was clear, to grow into an adult to fly from here. In this morning, it was safe with yellowish shade. And it took only a few hours to make a green pupa. Mademoiselle Vert, you keep blooming for amazing 4 months. Please give your power to that tiny soul.

Umbrella Lover

Standard

Mei-Shun is, would never like to get wet even in slight rain. Shin and his mother are real antonyms — they say it does not rain when the poor wife and daughter-in-law rush back to the porch to pick up one of her collection. Its color is ranging from violet to red, texture from plastic to cloth. Isn’t it enjoyable to coordinate your clothes with that great artifice like shoes and bags?

This is her favorite.

Lollipop City

Standard

Following below is Shin’s souvenir from Las Vegas. It was skin-grilling there, yet so dry that felt quite easy, he told Mei-Shun. On the other hand, they are in the latter half of rainy season here, with temperature around 25 degrees Celsius. However, 100% humidity almost every day makes them feel heavy both in mind and body. It is not an excuse by the wife whose weight keeps stagnant lately.

Another Half

Standard

Here 水無月=minazuki, annual delicacy for Shin and Mei-Shun follows below. Since the husband is still in Las Vegas, the wife took his role to enjoy half of it besides her own — two tasty triangles. It means to wish health and happiness in latter half of the year on June 30th, a custom originated from Kyoto. Above couple loves to visit this ancient capital, while to try pretty sweets there.

So Sorry

Standard

Mademoiselle Vert, it might be better that Mei-Shun stops bringing you beside her pillow at night. Actually on holidays, she often sleep twice in the morning. Her first job is to open the door of Mikan-chan’s cage. After cleaning and feeding, she takes care of herself, puts several curlers on hair. Such items or ponytails could be a weapon for fragile flowers.

Please take her deep apology.

Private Garden

The Ns, they live just next to a bank Mei-Shun often visits. It is really nice to see these roses bloom beautifully, yet why is the parking space so crowded today? Ah, caused by this date, she noticed. On 五十日 read as go-toh-bi, meaning dates with the first place 5 or 0, banks and post offices tend to be busy. Especially in the middle of a month, pensioners rush toward there to draw cash.
