We have 立春=risshun, the 1st of vernal 二十四節気 today. Still freezing outdoors, many children in our country are taught to sing 早春賦. It means an early spring poetry, with lyrics describing a season only by a name. Shin, Mikan-chan and Mei-Shun enjoyed 豆まき=roasted soybean spreading yesterday. Such an event at home would give good meals for birdies.

Yes, Mei-Shun’s elder sister Y loves them these days. M-chan, her daughter put on the same one at a coming-of-age ceremony as her mother and aunt did.
