We have 雨水=usui, the 2nd of spring 二十四節気 today. It means snow would shift into rain, while 2020 seems already to be warmer. Mei-Shun enjoys plum blossom through an eastern window at home, appears in person at the nearest shrine. The latter accommodates two plum trees bloom in white, yet she has not recognized one just beside the front torii gate.

Every place is packed with sightseers especially in spring and autumn here, yet not so much in early morning. Shin and Mei-Shun strolled along 鴨川=Kamogawa River, enjoyed beautiful foliage of maple, gingko and cherry trees. Oh, lovely birds are on breakfast, including wild ducks, herons and a couple of kite. Why don’t they join them before heading for Merry-go-round to see Kaori-san?
Mei-Shun feels it quite gorgeous to let her hair down in the middle of summer. It is normally rolled and bound with choux-choux as soon as she wakes up in the morning. She went to a nearby hair saloon in such a style, got regular treatment before driving for a shopping. Since both places are well air-conditioned, long hair works like a jacket to cover her neck and shoulders.
Hello, little frog. Mei-Shun saw you pop in grasses grown at the bottom of a gate she uses to stretch her legs before walking toward the nearest shrine. Now heading to there, rice paddy welcomed her in a refreshing shade. Caused by cool weather, it looks a bit delayed in growth — leaves only, no ears. Cucumber, okra, melon, many summer vegetables and fruits also do.
晴耕雨読 meaning to farm on sunny day, to read on rainy day used to be our custom in good old days. And it still continues in how Mei-Shun does; to enjoy horsey-back riding when it is from clear to cloudy, to dance when it rains or snows.
