Mei-Shun plays better that score composed by Master Bach these days. It is thanks to the radio program she used to listen to: she has stopped learning Spanish for three-fourth year by an intention. When she aims to acquire fluency on piano, not only her fingers but also ears need time and concentration to absorb melody. That might be because she has a kind of resistance in brain to accept something new.

Stand by U
StandardSo it is all right for Shin to leave Mei-Shun alone for a week — he is on a business trip to the U.S.A. from weekend. Oh, she is never alone, of course not. Mikan-chan looks feeling so-so recently, gives her human-being mom relief, refreshment and real happiness. Thanks to cool rainy days like today, they stay home together; one enjoying peaceful sleep, the other writing, playing piano and dancing.
Piano to Pizza
StandardStormy last Saturday forced Shin and Mei-Shun stay at home all day long, pressed appetite button in the husband’s brain. He asked the wife’s permission to order pizzas at night. Following sunny Sunday made him exhausted enough to rush to sushi dinner, took time from the wife to play piano. Oh, brilliant full moon accompanied by Jupiter, please help this couple to lose weight and gain muscle.
Effective Lesson
StandardWhen Mei-Shun forgets how to play a score on Ms. Piano, it looks like a chance to her. Since fingering so far has been reset, she can try from scratch to find out better way. “Pavane …” is a good example, left behind Masters Bach and Debussy. And it seems that memory to play that musical instrument is saved not only in brain, directly connected with eyes but also in 10 fingers with necessary muscles.
Superior Piano
StandardNever taking Spanish inferior, yet Mei-Shun chose its test in October. That is because she would like to brush up her technique in playing several scores. Master J. S. Bach is on the top of the list which accommodates “Life of Merry-go-round”, “Le Cygne” and “Pavane pour une Infante Défunte”. She loves the last one, practiced earnestly years before yet played around others for a while.
Assignment
StandardThey say Spanish tests would be held in June and October. Now, Ms. Piano, which month is better for Mei-Shun? She meant to be soaked in concentrated study, chose just one score composed by Master J. S. Bach. However, Shin likes it so much that his wife practiced it almost every day for “joy of his desiring”. Having come in the opposite direction, is she ready to go back to the starting point of 2019?
Floating Clouds
StandardOh, Mikan-chan, please stay asleep on the sofa when mom plays “Lieder Ohne Worte” Op.53.No.2, composed by Master Mendelssohn. It is one of her favorite pieces, sounds nice and serves good for finger stretching. Or if she practice more to gain a flowing tune, would you listen quietly like Momo-chan, Princess Peach in our garden does? She bloomed from 10% to 60% in a few days.
Step by Step
StandardOr should Mei-Shun call it finger by finger? To tell the truth, she practiced passing the 3rd page of that piece by Master J. S. Bach until recently, where sharp position changes from F key to G. It results in more mistakes than other pages, forced her to make special workout in hands for such “difficult” part. It is like she feels a kind of tense in gallop on horseies; she has only to augment experience for progress.
Clair de Lune
StandardOh, what a shock it is — Mei-Shun partly forgot how to play that beautiful score. She admits the fact that Master J. S. Bach has occupied her mind for these 5 weeks, while never stops admiring Monsieur Debussy. Her practice patterns always include the latter’s pieces: “Doctor Gradus ad Parnassum” and “Arabesque” sound great and are best for finger stretching. It just depends, what would be chosen to enjoy next.
Simple Sounds
StandardHere the score of 2019 for Ms. Piano follows below. Thanks a lot, Shin, for ordering it from Hong Kong. Mei-Shun was happy enough to head immediately toward her favorite musical partner for a trial play. Hmm, some notes are written like reflected by a mirror. Does it mean a kind of countermelody? … not so bad a guess, it seems. Coming from a cantata, each melody must be correct and clear.
