Great Grapes
StandardLast year’s heavy snow destroyed many greenhouses for fruits and vegetables. On the other hand, outdoor trees were powerful enough to survive, allowed Mei-Shun family to enjoy such beautiful products this autumn as well.
Mikan-Mochi
StandardAs it gets cooler, Mikan-chan often jumps onto Mei-Shun’s legs. Relaxed, sitting on her own legs, she looks like a piece of mochi =rice cake. This is the reason why she is sometimes called Omochi-chan.
Difficult = Damaging?
StandardMei-Shun has a slight pain in her right knee. While doing lighter exercise yesterday, she found out several poses in Echigo-Shishi which might cause the ache. For example, it is quite difficult for her to put both knees on the ground at once. Trying to force herself to make it, she might use a wrong, unnecessary muscle power.
Happy Monday
StandardSome of our public holidays have been set on Mondays since Heisei era started. Health and Sports Day is one of them, making this weekend a three consecutive holidays. However, Mei-Shun feels a bit uncomfortable in her right knee — caused by the dance rally? She decided to take a rest today, might embody the idea of today.
No Return
StandardToday is the deadline to pay for coming stage of Mei-Shun. In Japanese tradition, notes for happy occasions are required to be new ones. We therefore have to see tellers at banks to change used notes. Some banks set a new-note-available ATM during busy seasons.

StandardMs. Piano jabbed Mei-Shun in the head when she was warming up before dance practice. No pain, but your message is clear. Just 5 minutes communication between us these days – left you alone, making you nearly fade out of the tug cloud. Sorry, my lady. It would be your turn after November 2.
After Three Years
StandardA total lunar eclipse could be seen tonight. It begins around 18:00, the time when Mei-Shun start her lesson at the community center. No delay or such a rare natural phenomenon would slip out of the arms.
One Month Character
StandardMei-Shun started Echigo-Shihi rally from October 1: she never stops once-a-day dancing even on weekends. Last year, she did the same as 白拍子 for one month before her performance on the stage. That makes such “strangers” a part of her normal life – dancing sometimes seems equivalent to playing a role.
Happiest Time
StandardMikan-chan often calls for Mei-Shun to stay by her food bowl. While eating, she hugs mom by her tail. When asked if it tastes good, she replies “yes” by a swing of it like this.
