I feel very sleepy today. Looking at cloudy sky, mom drove dad to the station in the morning. She has to do the dishes after every meal these days, taking twice as long as usual. That may be why she comes home earlier, makes me happier.

It was freezing this morning, representing 三寒四温 of this season with a drizzle in which nobody except for Mei-Shun uses umbrellas in her family. Oh, Tora-chan, you are kind enough to follow her to the garbage collection point. Please keep yourself dry under the eaves.
Mom left me alone all day long today. Early in the morning, she drove dad to the nearest station before going to a park. She started walking there to keep herself healthy. Hum, that big tyre around her waist serves me a good cushion, but she looks scared of it. And hiss, she stayed only 2 hours with me! … to see her mom living far away from here.
Thanks, rain. It continued all day long, cleaned up our cars in a parking space with no roof. It saved Mei-Shun’s time in busy mornings to draw after-bath water in a bucket to melt frozen mirrors and windows … Oh? Tora-chan, please don’t keep your paws wet.
Mikan-chan has two watering places; one is a plastic bowl set in her cage, the other is an automatic fountain. The latter has a tank behind, yet the user is better to know time for cleaning. When she tried and walk away, mom has to clean it even if the tank is not empty.
Fog might cover throughout the Japanese Archipelago this morning. It was adventurous to drive in such a circumstance. Today is the last of lunar January, with 啓蟄 (=keichitsu, the third of 24 seasonal terms meaning the day animals come out of hibernation) on Saturday, and the temperature reached 20 degrees Celsius in the afternoon. Oh, little dandelion, it is too soon for you to bloom, isn’t it?
春眠暁を覚えず, they say. Mei-Shun wonders if people from any country share such sleepiness in a warm, sunny weather. At least it does not seem matter which species you belong to.

Not that famous actress, a lovely horse girl. She is honest in lessons, patient enough to carry such an unskillful rider as Mei-Shun. On the other hand, she is so charming and friendly, a little bit mischievous once leaving the ground. Yes, we know you do not like to be squeezed by a saddle belt. Please stop yawning 8 times after that.
Mikan-chan loves to be brushed, making mom happy to do it every day. During winter, she puts on a thick coat doubled with longer, silver and shorter, grey fur layer. And today, the first day of February, saw the latter begin to remove from her.
