When charming foods (including various sweets) jump into eyes, she immediately brought them home. However, since she returned to normal, such an indulgence must be terminated. Mei-Shun has told you kind followers that alcohol impedes her weight control. It might be because such drinks facilitate her appetite, let her ignore calories to reach sweets even after a meal. She therefore makes it a rule to take it less than once a month, on condition that a tyre around her waist is smaller than one bag of sugar. Now Shin brought home this delicacy from Nagano, best friend and foe of Professor S!

In Retrospect

This is one of anniversaries for Shin and Mei-Shun. The husband made a reservation at a Chinese restaurant in 日比谷, Tokyo. The wife left home at around 16 : 00 to stay with Mikan-chan for as long as possible, met him at 新橋 Station. She has worked for a company located nearby, enjoyed walking with him looking up some friendly edifices while others new. Now they reached the dinner venue.

Which would you kind followers like, coffee, tea or green tea? The owner of a hair saloon, where Mei-Shun goes to every three weeks, is a pottery collector. And how is it, a star-shaped ice cream ball among normal round ones? It has been rare for her to win foods like it, yet sometimes occurs these days. Mei-Shun visited her mother’s place after 3 months: August saw them in 草津. Handmade delicacy following below welcomed the former, although a bit delayed. And oh, it was the first time for her to meet this bushclover in full blossom, descended from the late grandma of mom’s side. She immediately understood why it is one of the most popular autumnal flowers.

To Tokyo

Yes, for a haircut and dinner. It has become rather rare for Mei-Shun to get on a train since that coronavirus started to bite us. Wearing a face mask, she enjoyed her sight-through-window collection including Ushiku Pond, a noodle factory and Sky Tree. Hair treatment by a professional after 2 months was great, yet the best was rendez-vous at the station with Shin who returned from Fukuoka.

Mei-Shun learned that alcohol affects her weight much, or the most. She drank it 3 times in August, twice at home “WAKAZE” and once out just a glass of “Shandy Gaff”. Although it had been getting better, next-day scale always saw sugar bags ranging from 1.7 to 0.6. Now it looks she has managed to reach the point of Oct. 2019 thanks to rice porridge method. The real goal is within a stone’s throw.

Summer Sweets

Here they follows below; 稚鮎=chi-ayu, ささらがた=sasara-gata, 三石羊羹=yo-kan and baby chicken marshmallows. Last two came from Hokkaido, while the latter was found to be made in Kyoto. For the first, 5 sweetfish (they really are) were originally caught in the cage, with 3 seem to have already fled. The second is shared with gentle jelly lover Professor S, respected by Mei-Shun.

Astonishing Autumn

We have 立秋=risshu, the 1st of autumn 二十四節気 today. Well, it seems to be in the middle of summer for Mei-Shun, or the hottest 大暑 reported by Mikan-chan last month. On the other hand, nature knows what is going on: plump pears became really juicy and sweet. It is high temperature and ample water that grow tasty rice. Why don’t we keep stiff upper lips, expecting a pinnacle after a bottom?

Mei-Shun saw a bit better figure on the scale after dancing with sweet Ms. Snow Quartz today. Since she has got awful one and a half bags of sugar around waist within July full of rainfalls, another method to get it off is to be adopted. She currently stands on the point of September 2019, where her favorite cooked rice, shining like pearls in a bowl, must be replaced by porridge.
