Somehow Sakura

Mei-Shun walked to the nearest shrine after at least a whole month. It seems better for her to do such light exercise even on a day following horsey riding. When she climbed up stairs leading to the rear gate, a cherry tree caught her eyes — looking pink with no flowers or buds on branches yet. Your preparation to bloom is already on the way, isn’t it? Now a box of omikuji lots is there, to be drawn by herself.

Beautiful Baby

Hi, Mr. Danone Caesar, great to see you again. Mei-Shun designated you, Mr. Applause, Mr. Treasure and Ms. Madoka this month. Do you wonder why? Because she would like to choose friendly partners toward canter dance, brushing up her technique. Please keep a good boy as today, darling. Look, she won the best lottery so far to reserve favorite lessons in March.

Horsey Highness

Hello, Mr. Great Fighter, nice to dance with you again. Mei-Shun actually came here only 4 times this month. She must have done twice, yet rain/snowfalls, others came up and her own condition prevented it. That means she got on a scale less — to her relief, nice or so-so numbers appeared there. You have never thought about weight control, slender Ms. Ageha=swallowtail butterfly.

Remarkable Red

Happy Birthday, mom-in-law. Mei-Shun is always pleased to go out for shopping of flowers and a cake for you. Stormy wind pushed her into a shop for the former where only a few, tiny arrangements were displayed. She asked a clerk if superior one was available. She replied it was, yet 2023 first auction would be held tomorrow. “We have therefore a bit elder ones here…” No problem at all.

Risky Red

Here is an image of a plant Shin sent to Mei-Shun this morning, asking what the name of it whose bright color caught his eyes along a mountain path. She immediately replied that it might be a lacquer tree or Toxicodendron trichocarpum. He was cautious enough not to touch it: this breed often causes serious rash. Every rose has its thorn, please prefer safe Christmas trees.

Bright Light

Standard

It has become a bit difficult for Mei-Shun to see a moon at home through the widest window facing the south. Instead, a glass door toward the east let her find its silhouette when she prepares to take a bath around 21 : 00. And it was early in this morning that Shin and his wife were welcomed by a clear 居待月, a moon to wait sitting above the nearest station.

Aurora Art

Shin went on a business trip to Germany through weekend, returned to Mei-Shun yesterday evening. Time difference and a long flight forced the wife to miss his arrival message at Frankfurt, while let him see a great Christmas gift in the sky. Thanks to a route via the North Pole they took, and a fluffy angel who asked her mom to get into his suitcase together.

Keep Kettle

Even if Ms. Iron is injured, she serves enough for Mei-Shun, a tea lover who chose Chinese gray friends today. Oh, a 茶柱=tea pillar nicely stands in a mug, lets her know something good would happen soon. It might be true or wished to; we have 仏滅=butsu-metsu, the worst among 六曜 while gloomy sky. And slight rainfall began just after she hung futon mats outdoors.

Tender Teddy

Mei-Shun was very happy to notice 4 buds at the bottom of Princess Cymby last month, has taken joyful care of them. The 1st one was found earlier as leaves, followed by the 2nd and two flowers. Please kindly accept her deepest appreciation, Your Highness. No petals in yellowish green were seen indoors last winter, while 蝋梅 flourished outdoors giving sweet scent.

Tell U Truth

Hi, 雁金=karigane green tea. It is quite reasonable compared to others Mei-Shun likes including 嬉野茶=ureshino– and 知覧茶=chiran-cha from Kyushu. However, its taste is never inferior to them made of leaves only. To be honest, it is just today when she learned that above name is used in Kyoto, while calling it 茎茶, meaning stalk tea is normal in major part of our country.
