Shin and Mei-Shun walked to the nearest shrine on weekend, accompanied by Mikan-chan of course. Lovely wild flowers greeted them along a lane between rice paddy, while cherry trees after they climbed steep steps leading to the main building. Almost in full blossom, these flowers gently watched over above couple who drew omikuji lots. The husband saw 吉=lucky, the wife 小吉=a little lucky.
Mom loves to see that celestial beauty, saying to me “you are the prettiest”, purr. She prefers crescent shapes, yet seems to receive more benefits from round. We recently found the former in early morning, blurred a bit by 黄砂=kosa or yellow dust. On the other paw of mine, could some of you kind 527 followers let us know why it floats in eastern sky?

Mei-Shun is quite pleased to resume one of her weight-control methods from today. A whole week saw gum under that poor molar stop bleeding, let dental floss safely go back and forth. She has held off on titled sweets for 2 weeks, while helped much by bonbons aux chocolats purchased for Professor A — he had another appointment when she handed the same box to Prof. M.
Mei-Shun won as much as 3 sheets of 2025 stamps among just around 20 new-year cards she purchased/received; one from Shin’s younger sister, the other by Professor M. Last 3 years represented by Mikan-chan, rabbit and dragon saw no gifts with a few more, while her fluffy 蛇やん=dear snakey nicely made ends meet. Please listen, mom was asked to sign at a post office.
We have 雨水=usui, the 2nd of vernal and whole 二十四節気 today. Mei-Shun drove Ms. Scarlet heading a cafe to see M-chan. On the way to there, the former aunt dropped in a repair shop. When she walked toward a hair salon last month, a pair of short boots warned her of their trouble: tiny rubber parts under high heels were almost worn out. “I found a good guy for it”, that kind beautician said.
Storm sounds blustering all over our country today; blizzard rages in northern area, violent wind descends toward south. Mei-Shun shuts herself indoors on such a day, giving up any activity outdoors. … Mei-Shun means not on a scale but a locker at her 2nd horsey riding club. She normally prefers even figures; 2, 6, 8, 22 while has odd 1, 5, 13, 19 as birthdays of her family members. And the latter represent upper shelves here, quite convenient to store valuables, bags and clothes. On the other paw of Mikan-chan, “1” sounds like “the best” or “top” always difficult to achieve for her mom.
Shin went out for business early this morning. Mei-Shun drove him toward the nearest station, found 小望月=14th moon in western sky. They saw her in the east last night, shining above gift flowers — meaning both ends of 花鳥風月. And the 1st, 2025 full moon is expected tonight. Called Wolf Moon, she has already become perfectly round at 7 : 27 while invisible among sunlight.
… of rain Mei-Shun caught by ears, in morning bathtub. Checking her diary, as long as 2 weeks were found all dry; 1st snow of current winter we saw last month, final falling from the sky last year. Mss. Moon and Scarlet, Momo-chan, 蝋梅=wintersweet, roses, etc. look happy outdoors, while Mikan-chan, Shin and mom-in-law indoors. Now sushi delivery service arrived, shall they start a lunch party?
So it was the last dance for Mikan-chan and Mei-Shun with him in 2024. Thanks to this lovely boy, the latter seems to have learned again how to do it. She would attend new classes to practice walk, trot and canter through a fixed route to gain the 3rd, next grade of horsey riding technique.
