No Moon

Standard

But me, meow. Lunar August called 八朔=hassaku starts from today with 白露=hakuro, the 3rd of autumnal 二十四節気 as well. Mom visited the nearest shrine again to greet Gods, make a wish and draw omikuji lots. 末吉=sue-kichi and 吉=kichi, lucky this time, purr. Even the former has good contents, while the latter to be kept folded for dad to read when he comes home.

Murky Moon

Standard

Recent wet and cool Obon season taught Mei-Shun that summer is going, autumn is coming. For example, she was really happy to hang futon mats outdoors after waiting as long as 10 days. However, no warmth was left when she brings them in around 17 : 00 — they kept heat within even at dusk a month before. Sunset is getting sooner, sunrise later. More and more sunlight is creeping into rooms.

Merciful Moon

Standard

Thank you so much, Professor M. He is one of the best photographers Mei-Shun knows, especially good at that beauty in the sky. We are expecting her in full on Sunday, 22nd when Mikan-chan meows twice. And the same to you, Ms. Last One and Princess Maria. Southern wind blows calmer, let us feel cooler after 16 : 00 outdoors. Oh, look up at another there just started to shine.

Crescent Claw?

Standard

Mei-Shun found several bow-shaped scars on her lower abdomen, when warming in a bathtub. Some already recovered, others still flushed. Did Mikan-chan … no, she cannot scratch her mom on such a place. Or underwear for horsey riding? Hmm, it might cause, yet once or twice a week … ah, massage with her own palms. Short nails seem to be preferred not only by Ms. Piano.

Hot Holiday

Standard

Mei-Shun made an appointment at a beauty salon nearby Tokyo Station for a haircut today. However, she forgot a big sport event whose opening ceremony would be held in the capital city at night. Well, well, it seems better to take enough distance from there, in the middle of a kind of predicament. Oh, sound of slight rain after a whole week. Now Ms. Piano, could you join her to sing a song of moonlight?

Clear or Cloudy

Standard

Ms. Piano, it was really difficult for you and Mei-Shun to choose scores to sing together yesterday. Weather changed from all clear in the morning to evening thunderstorm, made them wonder which was better; rainy one composed by Master Chopin, or moonlight by Masters Debussy and Beethoven. As a result, the latter was featured according to Shin’s request.

Full Moon

Standard

Mei-Shun cleaned a mirror whose grapevine frame is very cute. She brought it from her parents’ home when married with Shin. However, it reflects her face looking older, maybe because it has been forced to stay in dust since moved to Ibaraki. It is one of sacred items which symbolize Gods at shrines for example, must be kept shining. Now we would expect together that round beauty in the sky tonight.

Opposite Option

Standard

We have 夏至=geshi, the 4th of summer 二十四節気 today. It also means the longest daytime of the year, yet hardly recognized because of rainy season in our country. Ms. Piano, are your keys all right in such humid air? Clouds seem to stop covering the sky tonight. So could you join Mei-Shun to praise moonlight with great scores composed by Masters Debussy and Beethoven?

Call Clair

Standard

We have 小満=shoman, the 2nd of summer 二十四節気 today. It means rainy season in Okinawa connected with next 芒種=boshu, while this week saw 梅雨の走り full of humidity and dark clouds around here. Now Ms. Piano, could you join Mei-Shun to sing moonlight scores composed by Masters Beethoven and Debussy? She saw the 3rd crescent last week, yet that was the only chance so far to see that beauty.

Joy of Park: 1

Standard

Lunar April starts from today, meaning a new moon at night. 染井吉野 has long been expected to bloom in the same month on solar calendars, yet often does within March these days. On the other hand, iris seems to stay in their best season. 乙戸沼 Park accommodates a lot of aquatic plants including that violet beauty, gives Shin and Mei-Shun a kind of relief.
