We celebrate Respect-for-the-Aged Day, set on the 3rd Monday of current month from 2003. It is also Mikan-chan’s birth year, shared by niece M-chan who was born 2 months earlier than fluffy daughter of Shin and Mei-Shun. Cloudy from morning, while a beautiful 小望月 casts a few glances at us from dark sky. She might be a gift attending cooler air below 30 degrees Celsius.
Month: September 2024
Autumn Arrival
StandardMom ordered a season delicacy the other day, purr. Since moon viewing is quite nice in my birth month, sweets shops are full of those images. She purchased 2 boxes; one for us, the other for Professor M. Although birthday of the latter gentleman is the end of our fiscal year, amazing 5 and a half months have already passed. I wish him to accept her cordial respect.

Tea Travel?
StandardDid Mei-Shun informed you kind 519 followers on her favorite tea shop nearby closed down? Their main branch recently sent her a letter to reserve 蔵出し新茶, stored green tea picked in May. She is happy receiving such an invitation, while they ask her to appear in person. Perhaps they took over client lists from stores out of business, make her wonder if a car park is available.
Cute Cup
StandardMei-Shun walked to a hair salon in high-heeled pumps instead of summer sandals. She recognized both insoles of the latter are torn when put them on. It might be a message from autumn already reached us, even in such sweltering air. Since her mother comes back from 草津 today, she is a bit worried about condition of an octogenarian. Yet oh, a weather forecast says that it would be cooler from Mikan-chan’s birthday.
After 9Ys + 24Wks
StandardWell, it is for today that Mei-Shun practiced to drive Ms. Moon on weekend. The hospital Dr. A works at is quite nearby, taking 15 minutes from home. By the way, one of her favorite bakeries on the way to there was closed: their regular day off is Mondays, while a notice was found on a shutter taken down. All right, she would treat herself to those delicacies next time.
Button Battery
StandardSo Mei-Shun tried on Ms. Moon for the first time, thanks to Ms. Scarlet pulled by a JAF tow truck on Friday. She has never driven a car requires no key — precisely, no hole is equipped yet a censor to catch keys each driver carries. With Shin on passenger seat, the wife completed a round trip to/from a post office. Now is the turn for the husband to purchase title item on foot.
Wired Waggon
StandardI and mom visited a horsey riding club in Tsukuba, for the first and last time this week. Mr. MATSURI kindly danced with us, followed by Mr. White Mocha. Summer came back from yesterday, gave her perspiration like a little waterfall. Feeling quite refreshed, we headed toward home. However, something suddenly occurred within Ms. Scarlet: she told us that it is too slippery to go ahead on the road.

Sun and Moon
StandardMei-Shun used no air conditioner yesterday: only fans worked even after a bath. Such fine condition and sunset a few minutes after 18 : 00 let her feel that autumn has truly come. Looking back weeks recently passed, we scarcely saw any light in the sky caused by typhoons. On the contrary, sunny today forced her to grab a remote before 10 : 00. Could we see a 3rd crescent in the evening?
East to West
StandardShin visited 一ノ関 last week, brought home a lovely little pear made of 久慈琥珀. On the other hand, one of his clients living in Tottori Prefecture kindly sent a box of those real fruits. Mei-Shun loves both of them; the former is for the wife to put on, the latter 新甘泉 above couple enjoy in each mouth. The husband never forgets souvenirs, with sweets on the top of his list.
Dual Doctors
StandardSo lunar August starts from today, called 八朔=hassaku. It sounds like a citrus fruit Mei-Shun loves from childhood — her best is unshu of course, Mikan-chan was named after. She drove Ms. Scarlet toward a dermatology clinic first, then turned to see her home ophthalmologist. Now mom’s duty of taking care of herself finished, shall we visit the nearest shrine to greet Gods, darling?
