Happy birthday, His Majesty. Mei-Shun celebrated hers on lunar calendar yesterday, calling meow-meow-meow with Mikan-chan. On the other paw, please let them say thanks a trillion to you kindest 515 followers. Such a nice number would find them making more efforts to invite other 7 guests on displays toward 22. Do you agree, snowy sky, with them?
Professor M kindly gave Mei-Shun a box of local sweets. They were served for her tea time with Shin after 22 : 22. It is really nice to be adult, isn’t it? The husband ranks tart balls in the 2nd line from the right on the top, while the wife walnut ones from the left. Pistachio marzipans and square pies followed them respectively. And pine nuts are the same 3rd.
Mei-Shun met her only niece M-chan last weekend. Time flied at least for the aunt, who felt really happy to see this girl — oops, a woman, since she has already celebrated her coming of age. By the way, the former found something weird walking outdoors. It first looked like an android featured in Sci-Fi films. However, the latter caught it again at a graduation exhibition by the faculty of arts.
I, dad and mom visited “Arles” together yesterday, purr. It is always mom who chooses 3 cakes for us respectively. We dropped in a sushi shop, came home to enjoy a table full of holiday delicacies. She opened a bag of Japanese tea; served not in green but brown, best before November 19th, 2023 while stored for at least one year and a half, as advised by a friendly shop clerk.

Mei-Shun had looked after a gorgeous bouquet of roses from Shin, hanging them to dry for a whole month. They were finally put indoors and bound again. Fallen petals found an oval box which accommodated cakes shaped like the same flower. Oh, cute baby in silver coat kindly helps mom to pick them up from verandah floor: her claw cover follows human fingers.
This would have been the 1st day of 2024 for me and mom to visit “Arles“, purr. However, southerly gale prevented us from getting on Ms. Scarlet in the afternoon: safety is superior to sweets. May we therefore replace today’s title by above image? Yes, she enjoyed short walking to a nearby hair salon in high-heeled boots. Her beautician asked if she lost weight a little.

Here the day comes to admire that sweets. Mei-Shun put a box onto Shin’s desk while he was having a morning bath. And it is birthday of mom-in-law as well, on lunar calendar. A basket of flowers was ordered to deliver — yet oh, they might ring the doorbell to call herself, not the other for her daughter-in-law. The latter phoned the shop at 9 : 00 opening time, when her failure just sounded.
Shin and Mei-Shun visited the nearest shrine yesterday, January 3rd on lunar calendar to greet Gods while make new-year wishes. Now how are their omikuji lots? Oh, 吉=kichi, lucky of No. 22. Is it you, Mikan-chan, who kindly gave mom this one? On the other paw, dad found 末吉=sue-kichi, the least lucky. It might mean to let them share good luck from their fluffy daughter.
Thank you so much, Professor M. He gave Mei-Shun a photo of cute ume=plum flowers last week, informing her on his business trip to Tunisia. Regarding that flower, mom-in-law never forgets to cook お赤飯=red-bean rice on our national holidays. She puts it into a tiny 重箱=lacquered/layered box shaped like a red ume, which her son and daughter-in-law purchased.
Meow, it is New Year’s Eve on lunar calendar today. I and mom visited a horsey riding club in Tsukuba, enjoyed 3-step dance with tasty named Ms. Candy and Mr. Crunchy. Mr. Ryan followed them in trot, kept a nice guy who made us wish to perform more. Now coming home, she got on a scale to see the best numbers after as long as 14 weeks. Good for you, purr.
