Two weeks have already passed since Mei-Shun received a gorgeous bouquet from Shin on the stage. She learned how to enjoy it for longer: draw roses from a vase before they get too tired. We have 大雪=tai-setsu, the 3rd of winter 二十四節気 today. Compared to the 2nd 小雪=sho-setsu, it would be colder getting into the middle of current season. Mei-Shun finally received following 手拭=te-nugui to use in 恋の手習い, never to wipe hands. Beautifully done, it arrived yesterday at noon packed in a paper tube — no, a pretty box was rolled in a piece of cardboard with buffers, saying “handmade silk towel for kabuki dance”. Now she has to sew a little, thin covering on it to avoid stains when bit by 白拍子花子 missing her cold-hearted lover.
