Don’t you think she is beautiful? Momo-chan, our garden princess, has descended from Mei-Shun’s grandmother on her mother’s side. She looks like dancing in full bloom. Her bright pink color is admired by everyone. Yes, for just a week in the middle of spring.
She looks the princess of this pond kingdom, with red and gold dot on her white dress. Her carp friends serve as food seekers who invite her for lunch; they are so quick to float toward the surface when human beings come nearby. And the princess elegantly appears.
Our cymbidium “Yellow Card” has come to 80% bloom during Mei-Shun’s full hospitalization. Now with her 80% release, it has bloomed 100%. Yes, they knew how to do the best.
It is a great pleasure for a patient to have guests. Mei-Shun’s family met her almost every day, yet a real guest kindly gave a visit today. Full of sweet gifts including a bouquet of spring flowers, a bottle of perfume and hand-made accessories, Professor S appeared smiling at the front door of the hospital. Time flied for them chatting on a cup of tea.
It is warm today. Mei-Shun is staying in a one-person room, whose window faces the north. Feeling a bit cold in mind, she walks around the main building every day to see the sun. It looks the same for flowers as well.

Master Mei-Shu has three granddaughters. When Mei-Shun visited her today, she found beautiful hina dolls set in the corner of the lesson room to celebrate those three girls. In Suisen-Tanzen, a dancer carries a long, fur-headed spear. We use a bamboo stick for practice, yet have to be very careful for a while not to hurt the dolls.
Mei-Shun found mimosa bouquets at a flower shop in Ueno Station. We had grown two mimosa trees before 2013, yet neither of them survived in freezing Ibaraki wind, called Tsukuba-oroshi … Hi, friend. Would you join our family for a while?
“Lieder ohne worte” by Mendelssohn seems to welcome any lyrics. No. 20 Allegro non troppo, called 浮雲; uki-gumo meaning “clouds floating in the sky” is one of the most favorite pieces of Mei-Shun. She has begun to recall the melody after around 30 years!
Such beautiful green peas! Mei-Shun boiled them in sincere accordance with grower’s instruction. He told us to keep the peas in hot water until it gets colder. So, they have no wrinkle on the face. Let’s enjoy their baby-skin texture and sweetness.
