We were a bit worried about power outage hearing distant thunder, while had no problem. By the way, drops also sound in our living room: Mr. Air Conditioner still weeps working. We have 立秋=risshu, the 1st of autumnal 二十四節気 today. It really does; cool wind, gray sky, drizzle before noon. Mei-Shun got on Ms. Scarlet who comes from northern Europe, sounds quite relieved. Her worst malfunction occurred last year might be caused by our summer becoming more and more torrid, year after year. Shall we drop in one of the best bakeries returning home?

Fluffy Flower

Standard

Mei-Shun heard that Japanese Archipelago is currently in the middle of clockwise wind flow. That is why hot air stays on us, causes amazing 10 consecutive days of heatstroke alert. Dear honest Mr. Air Conditioner, your excellent job is always appreciated by her. However, indispensable light cardigan makes her perspire once she starts practice on Ms. Piano.

Purr, 山鉾巡行=floats parade of 後祭=祇園祭 subsequent celebration was held, in sultry weather this time at our ancient capital. I, dad and mom prefer that quiet atmosphere — no stalls serve, nobody walks inebriated. Above is 大船鉾 prepared for 宵々々山 2 years before. Dragon head might be kept safe elsewhere, replaced by a big origami craft.

Splendid Summer

Standard

Mikan-chan and Mei-Shun missed you, Mr. MATSURI. Rainfall, heatstroke alert and allergy for her mom prevented them from trying dance again with the gentlest horseies including him, Mademoiselle Angel and Mr. Marumorita. It is nicely cool today, made preparation quite easier. Hereafter toward the middle of September, one instructor and student would share only 30-minute lesson a day with one horsey.

Easy Eyes

Standard

Mei-Shun changed one of her 2 glasses into biofocals. It is convenient while requires a kind of education: her brain takes a second to move from looking far away toward close. A mild shop clerk advised her on this point, saying she should keep calm even if blurred sight gives a little shock. Well, once she gets used to it, Ms. Piano keys seem to come nearer by. Lighter weight alleviates pressure on her nose.

Keep Kanon

Standard

Mei-Shun feels content to see that great score composed by Master J. Pachelbel again. Compared to others including “Le Cygne”, “Habanera”, “La Cinquantaine”, “Pavane pour une Infante Défunte”, etc., it flows so nice that gives her joy of dulcet melody. And please listen, it was ending music aired after she played the role of Petruchio in “The Taming of the Shrew” by Master Shakespeare.

Joy of Appetite: 1

Mei-Shun dined with niece M-chan this evening. The former saw her home dentist Dr. M in the morning, dropped in a bakery. Since she overslept to pass breakfast, nice lunch pleased her refreshed teeth and mouth. Now which superb menu would follow here? Garlic shrimp is recommendation of the latter lovely, all right. Attached is a glass of tea lemonade whose color would change …

We have 雨水=usui, the 2nd of vernal and whole 二十四節気 today. Mei-Shun drove Ms. Scarlet heading a cafe to see M-chan. On the way to there, the former aunt dropped in a repair shop. When she walked toward a hair salon last month, a pair of short boots warned her of their trouble: tiny rubber parts under high heels were almost worn out. “I found a good guy for it”, that kind beautician said.
