Hi, 雁金=karigane green tea. It is quite reasonable compared to others Mei-Shun likes including 嬉野茶=ureshino– and 知覧茶=chiran-cha from Kyushu. However, its taste is never inferior to them made of leaves only. To be honest, it is just today when she learned that above name is used in Kyoto, while calling it 茎茶, meaning stalk tea is normal in major part of our country.
good taste
Weigh Well
StandardThanks a million Mikan-chan, for your post yesterday. Yes, Shin and Mei-Shun are in condition excellent enough to allow the wife to make her dream come true. After Sunday brunch followed by 冨貴寄=fuki-yose, they got on Ms. Scarlet to visit a rental storeroom via 乙戸沼 Park. Cherry trees began to change clothes, waterfowls came back to spend winter. So does above couple picking up thick futons later.
Great Grapes: 3
StandardThe other box of above fruit arrived at happy hands of Mei-Shun last night. She actually had a slight cold, staying home all day long. It therefore seemed like a get-well gift from Shin via Master I. Yes, thanks to it, she recovered toward 80% of normal condition today. Fever has gone, let her vacuum rooms in the morning. After lunch, which is better to go to nearby ENT clinic, or to walk to the nearest shrine?
Japanese Culture@holiday
StandardMei-Shun is a green tea lover: she enjoys it almost every day, all through the year. Now are cans of her favorite leaves going empty while tablets, balls and bags of Chinese tea arrived. Here are excellent breeds to replenish a couple of pottery from Hong Kong stored in a cupboard for decades. Hello, great to see you two again. Shall we enjoy a full moon tonight together?
Chinese Candy
StandardHere are a can and a bag of above souvenir Shin kindly brought home. Mei-Shun is so happy to receive them that never stops opening them after every meal from Saturday dinner. The former is soft in flavor of sweetened red-bean paste, while the latter hard in 梅=ume plum and butter. Combination of a sour fruit and milk fat is a bit amazing to her: dried and salted 梅 means a great friend of rice.
Great Grapes: 1
StandardShin gave Mei-Shun a wonderful dessert; brilliant, edible jewelry of titled fruit. Grown by Mr. I called “master”, a box of Shining Muscat, 巨峰=kyoho and 紅環=beni-tamaki delivered last night. The wife loves green ones like the 1st, maybe descends from Alexandria via Rosário. Black ones like the 2nd is quite normal, yet all different from the same breed sold at supermarkets.
Savory Sweets
StandardMei-Shun watched TV before going out for horsey riding this afternoon. She would like to cheer via satellite her favorite sumo wrestler who is still in 幕下 rank. Thanks to his good winning, she felt better and got on Ms. Scarlet. Actually, she was a bit too tired yesterday to prepare for dancing with Ms. Manifest. Well, even if it ended up in smoke, a scale allowed her to have some chocolates at night.
Another Aroma
StandardMei-Shun enjoyed another bottle of German beer on Saturday. Their menu explains Master Goethe liked this dark, sweet one. It matches assorted cheese, fruits and vegetables rather than meat plates (just her impression of course(^^). By the way Shin, who nicely drove her to above restaurant, flew to China for business taking at least 2 weeks after 10-day quarantine.
Champagne or Beer
StandardHi, Princess Maria, great to see you again. Please listen, Mei-Shun dine out with Shin on weekend at their favorite German restaurant. The husband never drink alcohol, while the wife was ready to ask owner’s recommendation shown above. Hmm, light and aromatic, said similar to that sparkling French wine. And she deserved it, known after coming home for a scale.
Export and Import
StandardShin went on a business trip to Thailand last week. Yummy souvenirs include Bertholletia or Brazil nuts whose big, rare trees naturally grow in Amazon Rainforest only. People in that smiling country therefore might love this nutritive breed, trade it by cashew and coconuts. It was also the first experience for Mei-Shun to have popular sweet tamarind, dried and packed in the smallest bag.
