We have 節分=setsu-bun, on the border of winter today before 立春=risshun, the 1st of vernal and all 二十四節気 tomorrow. It is also lunar birthday of Mei-Shun who visited the nearest shrine to greet Gods. Oh, omikuji lots would still be handed by a priest, who was not at a reception desk. He might be preparing to hold a ceremony in the main building, with candles lit and chairs arranged.
As sweetest Mikan-chan kindly posted yesterday, lunar 2023 started on Sunday. Shin and Mei-Shun visited the nearest shrine, greeted Gods before receiving omikuji lots from a priest. On solar 元旦=New Year’s Day, the husband was given 小吉=sho-kichi, a little lucky while the wife 吉=kichi, lucky. This time both of above couple saw 吉=kichi in different numbers.

We have 小寒=shokan, the 5th of winter 二十四節気 today. It means the beginning of 寒=the coldest season of the year, while almost no wind, sunny enough for Mei-Shun to walk to a nearby hair salon without gloves before noon. Expecting 小望月=komochi-tsuki or 幾望=kibo at night, she cleaned up rooms in the morning to put on the 1st kimono in 2023.

Mei-Shun visited her horsey riding club today for the last time this year. She hopes to choose gentle partners to improve her technique, trying several ones including Mr. Danone Caesar. He is a son of that Deep Impact, resembles the great father in charming eyes and tinier body. And slender Madoka-chan, mom got slimmer than before. Could you help her more from next year?
Meow, it is the last day of 2022 for me and mom to visit Arles. However, dad e-mailed to us at noon that he had to visit Miyazaki from evening. Tiny party would therefore be held tomorrow night, with all of us attend. Now chocolate cakes seem clever choice to store in a refrigerator, while the first tarte tatin we see here. So it seems easy for you, Chinese 白茶, to stand up in a teacup. Mei-Shun loves and consumes you more quickly than brown one, also good yet rather normal. What fascinates her most is flavor of the former; flowery to nose, refreshing to mouth. If leaves come out of a pot via narrow spout, they would make 茶柱 to be sweet for eyes as well — particularly with 2 pillars.
