The eldest son of Professor S is a doctor, managing a clinic in Nakano, Tokyo. It is so nice to come here by train, chat with him before taking a kind of aesthetic treatment. A diagnosis requiring an operation has prevented Mei-Shun from enjoying this little monthly journey, yet now she is very happy to resume it.

StandardA gecko, or yamori in Japanese meaning “a home protector”, visited us last night. When we see them at home, it has used to bring something happy. Hi friend, nice to meet you again. Please be careful not to be hurt at doors and windows – oh, you are too quick to take a good photo.

StandardIt is out of the blue – our late avocado couple left a baby! He looks just like when his parents woke up from each seed. Mei-Shun immediately changed her mind to reuse the flowerpot for newcomers. Blackened part of daddy-avo’s trunk has been cut away. Now, enjoy sunlight and water, honey.
One of Best Joy
StandardGolden Week seems the best time for rice farmers to start planting. It is so nice to walk along newly-watered paddy, enjoying fresh breeze over it. Night chorus by frogs is so pleasant to ears. All is for happy harvest in autumn, yet stop for a while and let us be grateful to stand on this beautiful place.
Chatting Tail
StandardMikan-chan often calls mom to stay by her for meal. When asked “tastes good?”, she replies “yeah”, twisting the top of her tail. Relaxing on mom’s legs, she continues her purring by her tail. Having her tail straight-up, she says that she had got up from a nap. Her satisfaction is shown in the tail holding around mom’s arm.
Treasure of Life
StandardProfessor S, Master Mei-Shu and mom-in-law of Mei-Shun are of an age by chance. They are always kind enough, giving visits, messages and gifts during her hospitalization. It is a genuine honor to have such great “friends”.
Green Shells
StandardThis is our ginkgo tree in the backyard. He has grown from one seed, now nearly reaches our roof garden. One day of spring, he puts on an airy green robe. And next day, baby leaves appear on each branch, yet still curled. Day by day, they become loosen to show cute, shell-like shapes.
Lovely Purrer
StandardMikan-chan finally recovered from “mom sick”. When Mei-Shun returned home after 4 weeks, she shouted in joy (and warning?) from morning till night, getting a husky voice. She implored mom to stay sitting on the sofa holding her. Her intention to sleep on mom’s blanket was so assiduous that we let her spend three nights in our bedroom. Now, learning that mom would always come back to her, she has returned to peaceful nap alone.
Hospital Sakura
StandardMei-Shun has been forced to return here, yet only to receive medicine. It seems that a nurse in charge of her on Monday made a mistake. Well, no problem – for such a beautiful cherry blossom.
Sweet Home
StandardAnd this day has come as well. Mei-Shun already brought home clothes, PC and gift sweets, just expecting “OK, you are allowed to leave” comment from Dr. A. Thank you so much! The same from Mikan-chan.
