We Japanese call it during dry season 良いお湿り, good humidity. To our relief, last Saturday saw a slight rain after weeks. One week has passed since artificial, removable Ame-chan arrived in Mei-Shun’s mouth. She works quite well, helps her owner masticate anything: sticky foods like baguettes (baked yesterday) and rice cakes are tasty for the latter, yet dangerous enough to require heavy chewing. Only one fault of the former is that foods easily come into a narrow space between a soft denture base and natural molars.
