Oh, there you are. When Mei-Shun tried to move one of grapefruit pots to avoid strong sunlight from the west, she found something different among green leaves. It is so nice to see you grown up enough; clear to recognize your mother. And oh, not only you but another bigger! Well, it seems quite difficult to feed you both here. Why don’t one of you make a little travel to other place?

That’s the Q
StandardMei-Shun felt a slight pain in her upper right jaw the other day. Yes, right this time. She immediately contacted her home dentist to make an appointment with Dr. M today. First, a little hole with dirt seemed to be the reason. However, when the doctor removed it, a crack was found within — such a shame. So 4th of next month would be the date of destiny. To save, or not to save.
Japanese Culture@holiday
StandardOur national broadcasting said this morning that authorities in charge may punish companies if they would not let employees take at least 5 paid holidays per year. Well, from similar viewpoint, Shin seems fine to be off from Thursday afternoon to yesterday — while on business today, when obon vacation starts for normal workers. Mei-Shun therefore understands it came earlier.
Tooth Fracture?
StandardMei-Shun was forced to see Dr. M, her home dentist to take care of a molar on her upper left jaw. It was around 2 weeks ago when she heard a snap there at a meal. Nothing happens while free, yet hurts a little to chew except for boiled eggs, simmered vegetables and rice porridge. With X-ray image showing no trouble, Dr. M shove the molar to let bite go better.
Ready to Fly
StandardMei-Shun found a tiny God whose baby clothes seen above an offering box of the nearest shrine. So he/she might come to celebrate Mei-Shun’s mother whose 77th birthday is today. On the other hand, her younger daughter is encouraged to do more: her omikuji lot showed 末吉=sue-kichi, the least lucky. That white lily has grown into double size, carrying a lot of buds. They seemed to say “don’t worry”.
Turn Right
StandardMei-Shun has taken lessons on horseies going counterclockwise for over a whole year. Maybe because of it, she feels somehow weird within left groin these days. Earnest practice is important, yet too much could be pernicious. That seems to resemble typhoons which revolve ever-to-the-left, often give violent downpour rather than expected watering. So she asked Ms. I for good balance in a private, clockwise curriculum.
Summer Sky
StandardAfter they declared that rainy season looked to have left Kanto area at the end of June, the soonest on meteorological records, we really have torrid summer. Weirdly windy from early times, it has been all clear for several days in a row. Since Mei-Shun prefers quiet mornings, she is a bit tired of such a condition where no window could be opened to give stuffy rooms a good airing.
Three Years
StandardThey say 石の上にも三年 in our country, meaning a specific duration on a matter could bring an accomplishment. Well, Mei-Shun has been on horsey’s back for these 2 years and 9 months. She found that lovely Ms. I said “you can gain the 4th grade soon” one year ago on her 3-year diary. She must have made progress in riding technique, yet gallop is the highest wall.
Humid & Heavy
StandardHi, are you alone? Where is your wife and children? Oh, if you are female, please kindly take Mei-Shun’s deep apology. She was shocked after seeing you when one of cherry trees in the nearest garden of Gods found torn in trunk, fallen on the ground. Such sight hurts her mind, while moss on the surface looks so fresh that it let her understand a puddle behind is not made of teardrops.
Fifth Moon
StandardIt was 端午の節句 or lunar May 5th yesterday. Covered with rainy clouds of this season, we have missed beautiful crescents since the 2nd of the same. Mei-Shun gave it up in half, yet felt lucky for seeing her float among dark shadow. Please find following a photo taken by her who made such a challenge despite being awful at it. She wishes it could help a piece of smile for Osaka people.
