We have lunar 桃の節句 or March 3rd today. Mei-Shun went out for shopping to prepare a small dinner, walked to the nearest shrine from a nearer-by supermarket car park. Cherry blossoms have already passed their full stages, while lovely petals were falling onto the ground. She caught one on her palm, felt happy and drew an omikuji lot. No. 8 大吉=dai-kichi, the luckiest has come!

Sakura Sampo
Standard… Mei-Shun made today, or a stroll looking for cherry blossom. Ms. Scarlet helped her to go here and there including a horsey riding club in 龍ヶ崎. They accommodate more trees than in Tsukuba, yet both have neighbors of golf playing field surrounded by the same breed. And thank you so much, Professor M who gave above shot of her friend 山櫻 in early blossom.
Sweet Spring
StandardSo it might be just once for us to see bright sun during current weekdays. Mei-Shun reserved 2 lessons at her horsey riding club in Tsukuba, followed by a 30-minute private lesson. Hello Mr. Golden Helmet, great to dance with you for the first time. Since you are so tall, she felt quite safer on short Mr. Crunchy who made the best so far. And Mr. 翼 or Wings, nice to see you again.
Only Once
StandardLast week when Mei-Shun saw Dr. A, a good bakery this ex-inpatient makes it a rule to drop in was closed. She therefore replaced it by one nearby, whose branch in Tsukuba has been visited before — a decade might have passed since then. Well actually, sweet “melon-pain” is her criterion to judge if loyalty would be born to a shop. Oh, how cute they are here, in tennis ball shapes!
Silver and Sweet
StandardIt means me as well, purr. Dr. K kindly gave mom above in return for what she sent him on St. Valentine’s Day. I am sure these delicious bells work well for dad, who is quite busy while tortured by cedar pollen. Our schedule to visit “Arles” is set on tomorrow, whipped cream and fruits would serve us. On the other paw, chocolate and white-bean paste are here.

Weather Well
StandardMei-Shun went to a hair salon nearby Tokyo Station today, instead of dancing with horseies. It was caused by a rainfall which always forces her to cancel or change lessons outdoors. Snow might be better if all white, yet often starts by disappointing sleet. She is made of sugar, would melt away into wet air. Service indoors was therefore chosen with 駅弁=ekiben lunch boxes brought home.
Shining in Sky
StandardGood morning, Ms. 立待月. Yes, she still stays at 5 : 00; let us see her again as 居待月 tonight. It is actually the 2nd time for Mei-Shun to greet her: 1st was when she drove Ms. Scarlet at 22 : 00 yesterday to pick Shin up. Since the husband would make a business trip to U.S.A. from tomorrow, the wife is busy to pack his suitcase. It is fine for him as well, to get rid of cedar pollen.
Dynamic Doggy
StandardMei-Shun met her only niece M-chan last weekend. Time flied at least for the aunt, who felt really happy to see this girl — oops, a woman, since she has already celebrated her coming of age. By the way, the former found something weird walking outdoors. It first looked like an android featured in Sci-Fi films. However, the latter caught it again at a graduation exhibition by the faculty of arts.
Japanese Culture@holiday
StandardThank you so much, Professor M. He gave Mei-Shun a photo of cute ume=plum flowers last week, informing her on his business trip to Tunisia. Regarding that flower, mom-in-law never forgets to cook お赤飯=red-bean rice on our national holidays. She puts it into a tiny 重箱=lacquered/layered box shaped like a red ume, which her son and daughter-in-law purchased.
Spring Snow
StandardMei-Shun got on Ms. Scarlet accompanied by Mikan-chan yesterday, when slight rain started to fall. They hoped it would stop for a while, at least during 30-minute lesson with Mademoiselle Angel. However, it was callous enough to change into heavy sleet soon. They were therefore forced to cancel reserved classes, turn toward a department store nearby with a bit pleasure.
