Horrible Halloween
StandardMikan-chan looked all right in the morning, yet the evil stone hit her while Mei-Shun went out. Such a trick – any treat will be served for her good health. Sleep well, keep warm. Oh, your sweet purring … Good girl.
To Our Convenience
StandardMei-Shun drove on the highway toward Ibaraki Airport to pick up Shin. We found it the most convenient for trip to Kansai area, either for business or pleasure – no traffic jam, taking just an hour, wide and free parking space. Thanks, Mr. Governor.

StandardThe last lesson before the stage was given to Mei-Shun, with a little corrections and a sign of “Okay, go ahead and enjoy” from Master Mei-Shu. Rehearsal will be held on Saturday followed by Sunday’s performance.
Warmer Bed
StandardMini-blankets in lime green and biscuit orange arrived on the sofa. As it gets colder, Mikan-chan needs more warm items added to hug, curling on mom’s lap and getting into her cap-shaped bed.
Black Out, Blue On
StandardIn the evening, a sudden cacophony of thunder fell, let all lights off. Only cooking fires with which Mei-Shun was preparing dinner left on. Simmering sound and blue gas fire caught our attention until TV voice, microwave alarm, phone recorder, etc. came back to cover them. 5-minute halcyon, old days might be a gift from the nature.
Invitation to Kyoto!
StandardMs. KOGASHIWA, Kaori gave Mei-Shun an invitation to her first exhibition held in Kyoto, titled “Ohanashi-no-Ki-no-Shita-de” (=Under Tree of Stories) from Nov. 22 to Dec. 3. She has been good at drawing since her high-school days, currently works as an illustrator. Congratulations, Kaori-san.
Fashionable Flower
StandardMei-Shun’s husband Shin sometimes brings home a bouquet, in which orange, meaning Mikan in Japanese, often appears followed by blue and white. It seems any color coordination is available for flowers – we human beings would not look as stylish as this arrangement in these three colors, won’t we?
Oh My Girl
Standard11-year-old Mikan-chan has a “stone” in the bladder. It could force her to go into the restroom over and over, sometimes to bleed a little. Veterinarian Dr. O recommends an operation to remove the stone, yet he adds that there is no guarantee to avoid the disease forever …
