Shin came back to Mikan-chan and Mei-Shun yesterday morning, with souvenirs including a durian pie. His hotel in Ho Chi Minh City asked guests not to bring that king of fruits into rooms saying “no smoking, no durian”. The wife has agreed with them so far, while feels it acceptable this time. It might help her condition to improve through 三寒四温, from cold winter to warm spring.
Dr. A kindly gave Mei-Shun “Yes” phone call this morning. It would be informed only to Shin who stays in Vietnam from last night. Shin, Mikan-chan and Mei-Shun got up around 7 : 00 to be in time for 一番太鼓, drum beating to let audience know sumo site opens. Oh, many wrestlers in kimono are seen walking with them by the same route toward the place. Nice scent of 鬢付け油, hair oil to make 髷 style, comes when they follow those big guys. It is interesting to find 土俵 ring still empty and dry.

I am sure these delicious bells work well for dad, who is quite busy while tortured by cedar pollen. Our schedule to visit “Arles” is set on tomorrow, whipped cream and fruits would serve us. Mei-Shun cleaned up a table full of tiny items including dried flowers, photos and works by Kaori-san. Solar and lunar days of Christmas, New Year and family birthday have all passed, our fiscal year would start soon. Mei-Shun visited a hospital she had an operation to see Dr. A. The former counts it from the day she returned home, while the latter lady after she finished it. Mei-Shun made a rare trip alone, accompanied by sweet Mikan-chan, toward above city on Saturday. Shin, already stayed there working, met them at 新大阪 Station; they planned to watch 初日=the 1st day of sumo 三月場所 together from Sunday. A Japanese-style restaurant served gorgeous dinner, where the wife ordered sake brewed in 奈良, called 風の森=windy woods.
