CU Again

The pupa on a grapefruit pot Mei-Shun grows had emerged a few days before to fly away.  Summer is really full of new lives — cicadas sing from early in the morning, born one after another. Most of them around here have simple buzzing voice, while some say mean-mean, what-shah-shah and tuk-tuk-ossy. Her favorite is the last one with green body and crystal-clear wings.

Green Glisten

Standard

Mei-Shun found a little pupa on one of grapefruit pots. There was a bigger butterfly baby on another until recently, yet it had eaten up all leaves and — gone. Clever boy/girl, please feel safe. She would take good care of your tentative bed beside Mademoiselle Vert. The latter grows again a lovely little leaf bud with 13 flowers kept pretty. And weird parts as well, looking like artifacts.

Are you … roots?

Tea & Temperature

Standard

Keeping above the same is crucial for Mei-Shun’s good condition: hot tea in hot season. Cold one in chilling days would be awful, while nice if she relaxes in a warm, dry environment. Her stomach anyway seems to need such a care before receiving cold drinks, frozen fruits and ice cream. However, she forgets this rule every summer, fails at once to learn again.

Working Well

Ms. Piano is not only beautiful herself but also keeps lovely items. Mei-Shun saw a pretty pottery ring holder trimmed with a lot of little heart-shape holes yesterday, at her horsey riding club. Since it still stayed in the showroom today, she decided to bring it home. By the way, it is too hard to come here for two consecutive days, even if her partners are Mr. Tea Time and Princes Maria.

Summer Sweets

Standard

Here they follows below; 稚鮎=chi-ayu, ささらがた=sasara-gata, 三石羊羹=yo-kan and baby chicken marshmallows. Last two came from Hokkaido, while the latter was found to be made in Kyoto. For the first, 5 sweetfish (they really are) were originally caught in the cage, with 3 seem to have already fled. The second is shared with gentle jelly lover Professor S, respected by Mei-Shun.

Vidro Popping

Standard

Here a lovely ビードロ or ぽぴん from Nagasaki follows below. Mei-Shun asked Shin to purchase one when he visited that beautiful city in Kyushu on business. She has been there only once when was a student, before seeing grandmother of father’s side lived in Fukuoka. A smaller “vidro” as a souvenir handed from a granddaughter in faraway Tokyo seemed quite satisfied the latter.

From Germany

Standard

Shin and Mei-Shun visited “Elbe” on weekend. Good dishes are cooked from scratch, with various bottles of imported beer from that country longed for by the wife. Domestic ones are available as well, yet she ardently prefers the former. When the couple arrived at 19 : 00, all tables were empty. Please do not worry, they can attract other guests. Here you have a phone call for a reservation.

Happy Niners

Standard

Mei-Shun hung futon mats yesterday, after 9 serial rainy days. It is one of her favorite housekeeping affairs, made her delighted looking up pale-blue sky patched by white and grey clouds. At her feet found 9 mesdemoiselles in full blossom, with 2 newly open taking one whole night. Early cicadas sounded from far away, let her know summer has already come above.

Remarkable Resemblance

Standard

The 6th mademoiselle of mom’s orchid bloomed, purr. She told me that we look like each other. They are smaller and greener than elder sisters, just after opening into full — lovely equilateral triangles. On the other hand, my face is a fluffy inverted triangle in silver-blue shade when I relax on mom’s legs with ears turning downward. Do you kind followers agree with her?

Great Ruler

He must had been. Shin and Mei-Shun mean whom discovered in 三昧塚古墳, where they drove to on weekend. Among a lot of such ancient tomb mounds in southern part of Ibaraki Prefecture, it is their favorite. Neatly made like a park, he always let them walk up to the top by stairs after respectful prayers in mind. Oh, are these pretty bells mutation of lady’s tresses, Your Majesty?
