Hello Miffy, whose original name is rare to be heard in Japan, welcome onto Mei-Shun’s hands. Shin found her in Netherlands last week, fell in love at a glance. Welcome from Poland. Shin and Mei-Shun are fascinated with bowls of the same maker, chose following quartet immediately when they were found on a gift catalog offered by a credit card company. In contrast to fragile looks, they endure sultry environment in microwave, oven and dishwashing machine. That is like perfect ladies who are beautiful and strong, isn’t it?
Mei-Shun’s mother taught her younger daughter the name of this lovely little flower; 叡山菫=eizan-sumire, violet blooms in highlands. Maybe taken from their habitat, survived on the edge of nearby woods. We admire Your Highness, pretty and courageous. And 定家葛=Teika-kazura follows to join her plant roster. It was named after the famous poet in Heian period (794-1185).
It really comes from our garden princess Momo-chan (=Ms. Peach). Mei-Shun felt something soothes her mind one morning, took a deep breath at a flower of this gorgeous friend. Oh, how beautiful you are while merciful! Thanks a million to make her mind energized. All the same kindness does Grand Momo-chan have in mom’s garden, surrounded by 4 “Little Women”.

Swans began to move smoothly on water, as an invisible merry-go-round does on her head these days.
Stormy rainfall of this morning left several camellia flowers blown down on our garden turf. Mei-Shun likes this unique pattern on their petals: irregular stripes and dots in strong pink on white. It reminds her of “a cappella”, an eccentric rose her beloved father said looks like his younger daughter. Only bright pink comes into your eyes before recognizing fluffy silver on the back of each petal.
