… for a whole day. We saw her bend the right, rear leg yesterday. It looked clear that she had a pain there, yet she never let us touch it. Did you fight with somebody? Or get a poisonous bite by a horsefly? Oh, you had no breakfast. We worried about her all day long. In the evening, when mom-in-law started watering the garden, she unexpectedly appeared from the mint bush. Welcome back, darling.

It was a summer day of 2013. Mei-Shun shared a Chinese table with respectful “friends” for lunch in Tokyo. Professor S. gave these necklaces and pierces as a return gift: we had sent a bouquet to celebrate her birthday. Mammy beads are nicely arranged, made a good combination with the black dress Mei-Shun put on.

Mei-Shun once accompanied to her favorite shop in Okachimachi, Tokyo. So many kind of beads are hung on the wall that it looks like a museum.
