It rained this morning. Mei-Shun had reserved a class, while insured it by carrots for horses in case it got harder — and it worked. After postponing her class to tomorrow evening, she visited the stable. Hi, guys. Did you have good breakfast? Here is a little treat for you.

Flowers for Piano
StandardThis bouquet from Shin has pleased us so much so far, yet roses are quite delicate. They look so tired that Mei-Shun gave them a cut-and-clean treatment. Here is one vase accommodating half of them, to get along with Ms. Piano. She missed her only player for a while, just kept herself neat and quiet.

StandardTwin Kittens
StandardProfessor M, University of Tsukuba, is a cat fancier. Since his beloved Chonko-chan passed away, a violet girl called Mikeko-chan started to visit the Ms. They took her as a messenger from Chonko-chan, and recently accepted her children at home. Hello, Blanc-chan and Coo-chan.
Surprise Gift
StandardThank you so much, Professor S. She kindly sent Mei-Shun a delicacy of handmade again. Truly amazing is her technique and sense of beauty to employ such cute rose-shaped crystal beads. And this jade rose represents her warm regards. That must be why it just fits on the little cup behind Mei-Shun’s collarbone.
Introductory Lesson
StandardThanks, Maroo. He is very handsome and kind, a white pony, 20 years old, played a role of Mei-Shun’s partner yesterday. Our club let us prepare for riding; we have to brush his/her body, clean inside horseshoes, put cushions on the back, etc., before lessons. Nice idea it seems — we agree with them. Soft pats and gentle talking during preparation would help our wordless conversation.
Clever Horses
StandardThey are just great. 110 and more horses are working for a club in Ryugasaki. They work much harder than many of us; 6 days a week from 10:00 to 20:00. Rachel, the first partner of Mei-Shun, is a 17-year-old girl who has a shiny brown coat. She is kind and patient enough to follow beginners’ awkward signs to stop, walk and trot. Thanks, Ray-chan. Mikan-chan gave a permission to communicate with you. See you next week with a banana.
Lovely Friend
StandardTora-chan sometimes “takes a trip”, ranging from a few days to a week. We have no right to stop her, just have only to wait. Before her latest missing, we heard an angry voice at night. Any interloper might come into her territory including our garden. You live a severe, free and wild life, honey. We are always ready to feed you, yet cannot let you enter. So sorry. Oh, your sweet attitudes would spoil us …
Full of Flowers
StandardThis vase is made by 辻常陸 whose works of simple beauty attract us. It is Professor S. who first informed us on him — she gave Mei-Shun a mug to celebrate her late recovery. Not only drawings but also the kind-to-hand shape of his work lets you feel really refreshed after tea. Now, a thistle joined our table while full blossom of wisteria and three little butterflies wait for white flowers to top them.
Welcome Back
StandardTora-chan was waiting for Mei-Shun at the porch this morning. She gently meowed asking a treat. Oh, your leg has recovered from the injury. You lost a little weight, didn’t you? All right, eat as much as you like. Purrrrr …
