Shin came back to Mikan-chan and Mei-Shun yesterday morning, with souvenirs including a durian pie. His hotel in Ho Chi Minh City asked guests not to bring that king of fruits into rooms saying “no smoking, no durian”. The wife has agreed with them so far, while feels it acceptable this time. It might help her condition to improve through 三寒四温, from cold winter to warm spring.
Last week when Mei-Shun saw Dr. A, a good bakery this ex-inpatient makes it a rule to drop in was closed. She therefore replaced it by one nearby, whose branch in Tsukuba has been visited before — a decade might have passed since then. Well actually, sweet “melon-pain” is her criterion to judge if loyalty would be born to a shop. Oh, how cute they are here, in tennis ball shapes!
It snows from early morning today: my wings make them when I fly freely around mom, purr. We stay together at home, quite satisfied with our choice to see lovely horseies yesterday. She was actually a bit worried about her health on Monday, saw one bag of sugar gone with no reason. How is it tonight? It safely returned, let her find so-so numbers on a scale.

2024 has made our “backyard” 梅=ume, plum blossom the best so far. Shin, Mikan-chan and Mei-Shun enjoy this rare tree with a chimerical branch full of pink flowers among all white. It is also nice to watch it from his study, never need to visit any parks, temples, shrines or mountains accommodating 梅 in these 2 colors. By the way, the cutest angle for above is served by — restroom window!
Mei-Shun met her only niece M-chan last weekend. Time flied at least for the aunt, who felt really happy to see this girl — oops, a woman, since she has already celebrated her coming of age. By the way, the former found something weird walking outdoors. It first looked like an android featured in Sci-Fi films. However, the latter caught it again at a graduation exhibition by the faculty of arts.
Here the day comes to admire that sweets. Mei-Shun put a box onto Shin’s desk while he was having a morning bath. And it is birthday of mom-in-law as well, on lunar calendar. A basket of flowers was ordered to deliver — yet oh, they might ring the doorbell to call herself, not the other for her daughter-in-law. The latter phoned the shop at 9 : 00 opening time, when her failure just sounded.
M-chan, a 1st-year undergraduate at the University of Tsukuba, finally contacted Mei-Shun, her only aunt last night. However, quite late for the latter already in futon next to Shin. Is 22 : 33 not bedtime for students? She replied around 8 : 00 this morning, invited that girl of a good appetite to lunch at a tearoom nearby her dormitory. Well, no message has come so far, 23 : 23 after shampoo.
I and mom visited a horsey riding club today, amazing 4th time in a week. I’m always all right, yet it was not easy for her to keep healthy going out every 5 weekdays. Well fortunately, she managed to make it with a little help by medicine. Weight control is also going fine? Good for you, purr. By the way, we put a wrong title to lovely Aries; not Ms., Mr. he was found!

Here she is, not a ram while named after. Mikan-chan and Mei-Shun need no spurs to ride this dark bay girl, only a short whip. That is same to Mademoiselle Angel who would become their partner toward trot at least once a week. By the way, where is the bag she put apple peel within? Other items were found scattered on the ground after a lesson. How mischievous those crows are!
So 2024 sees the 2nd Monday on our national holiday: 成人の日=Coming of Age Day following January 1st 元旦=New Year’s Day. Mei-Shun replenished 2 茶筒=green tea cans, walked to a nearby hair salon in a down jacket of Shin who went into futon again after breakfast. He is a bit too big to step over and reach her wardrobe. When they went out for shopping together later, she put on a coat in color of orange or Mikan-chan.
