Mom opened a new bag of my crisps, purr. She asks me to have at least 10g of it a day, followed by jelly sticks and meat stew. The last one is breakfast and nightcap, second delicacy refreshment or supplement. It therefore depends on how many biscuits I chew in number. When I’m happy to do my duty earlier, more sticks would be served like yesterday. Things seems to be a bit different today …

This combination resumes from today. Mei-Shun got in Ms. Scarlet for Master Bando’s place, in normal clothes. Since a time was available, she steered to the left into an automatic car washer. Wow, what REX means here? 2 dinosaurs drawn on the machine approached, passed by and went away from her with water, shampoo and wind. Thanks a lot, tidy beasts.
We have 立春=risshun, the 1st of spring 二十四節気 today. Yes, it means that winter has gone, spring starts. However, it is colder than yesterday 節分=setsu-bun, one of 9 雑節 which informs season alteration more clearly than above. Mei-Shun would have liked to get a bag of baked soy beans to spread both outdoors and indoors, while only smaller bags of assorted ones were available.
It is too windy for Mei-Shun to go out today, to hang and dry futon outdoors either. Actually, she lost 2 futon pinchers the other day when similar weather locked her up indoors. Heavier mats looked enough to stay, yet one for the wife was blown down onto the ground in a second. Oh, a young apple tree mom-in-law planted last year was safe. So were you of course, Mademoiselle Vert.
Great to see you again, Mr. Treasure. You are the first partner in 2022 for Mei-Shun to dance with. Please listen, we have 小寒=shokan, the 5th of winter 二十四節気 today. It means a start of the coldest time of an year as well. However, you look never minding such harsh weather in a thick, chestnut-brown coat. Would you lend it to mom-in-law next year, who spent her birthday morning at a freezing hospital?

To tell the truth, Mei-Shun had believed that January 3rd was a national holiday, making at least 3-day winter vacation in our country. However, 2022 calendars show the first Monday in black, not in red. All right, since lunar December starts from today, our parents in the sky might give us a message to work much.
Oh-oh, Mei-Shun’s English textbook called her “d.e.b.” again. She came home after dancing with Princess Maria around teatime. A scale informed her on a half of sugar bag added to the number shown last week. In fact, she knows the reason for it; party with alcohol and dessert on Friday night, instead of morning alone. Slight cold followed toward Monday, forced her to stay indoors with no exercise.
Ms. Piano takes a rest on Master Mendelssohn’s “Floating Cloud” from “Songs without Words” while on “A Maiden’s Prayer” by Ms. Badarzewska. On the other hand, she sings “Golliwog’s Cakewalk” composed by Master Debussy again. It must be a lively score, yet this puppet manipulated by Mei-Shun stumbles too often to make clear steps. Or he/she might win a prize cake by his/her weird walking.
Purr, it makes me really relaxed to sleep on mom’s legs. Mom says that she feels the same to take a nap holding me here, instead of going to the bedroom alone. We used to share futon mats there, yet I stopped it for a few years since my nails easily catch towel coverings. Her choice of cushions, blankets and fluffy friends on the sofa would serve not only for my best place but also her longevity.
