Ms. Piano and 舞扇=fan for kabuki dance, sorry for missing you two. Practice will resume from tomorrow.

A Happy New Year to you, kind moon lovers. Mei-Shun was very busy from early morning to late at night. She first cooked a bowl of お雑煮=o-zoni, rice cake soaked in chicken and green vegetable soup for breakfast. Thanks for bringing home nice snacks, Shin. He went on a business trip last week to Nagano where his alma mater is located. Mei-Shun often visited 蓼科高原 there in summer vacation, yet this child’s memory seems to stay only on images of her family. Shin and Mei-Shun were in a car called “Diamante”, meaning diamond in Italian and Spanish. The wife inherited it from her beloved father 12 years before, while the husband has kept excellent maintenance on it so far. Now is the time for a cup of tea, coming back home soon. It is windy outdoors, sounds like raindrops — oh, no, not rain but bird. Did you finish supper nearby?
We have 小寒=sho-kan, the 5th of winter 二十四節気 today. They say the coldest months 寒=kan would start, while I enjoy warm hands and legs of mom on the sofa as usual. Why are you in a kind of fidget?
