So this is it for February, just 4 weeks normally: 2018 looks forward 2020 as the next leap year. As mentioned before, those with following three Chinese zodiac symbols子=ne, 辰=tatsu or 申=saru had February 29th in years they were born. Mei-Shun is included in this 25% group with the last one, feeling nice to see her special date today which comes 100%.
happy
Acknowledgement
StandardThanks a million to you all, dearest family and friends. Mei-Shun has added another year to her age on Saturday. We are never able to live alone. We always have someone to support while be supported. At least she feels so right now. What she could do for them might be a pinch of salt, yet would continue the best efforts to express her thankfulness. Once again, please kindly take her hug full of love to you.
Thank You
StandardSo this is the last post from Mei-Shun in 2017. How was it for you — full of pleasure? That is great! For the writer, half of her goals have been accomplished. She therefore put another eye onto this だるまさん, daruma doll. It is freezing outdoors, while wind stopped today to give us relief in shoulders. She wishes you, kind follower a happy new year from the bottom of her heart.
Merry Christmas
StandardSo this is it. Christmas Day is very special for Shin and Mei-Shun, their wedding anniversary. Since the best is to dine at home, the latter is quite busy. All the more this year because new-year greeting cards are due by today to reach on January 1st, 2018. She wrote them up by 14 : 00 o’clock, drove to the nearest post office before going shopping. Now she has to start — oh, you have already come!
Reaching Goal
StandardWe would see the smartest crescent of lunar October on Sunday. It seems Mei-Shun works out, eats and studies better than usual these days. When she got on a scale without perspiration this morning, weight found her in exultation since only a bit sugar is left around the waist or thinly spread all over her body. That means she has taken 34 weeks to learn how to control herself with no stress.
Popping Paws
StandardMeow, it is really nice to warm myself in sunshine. I make it a rule to lie on my legs first, then get a supine position. Dad uses this sofa before dawn, sitting asleep a minute. After he leaves to take a bath, mom sits down to hold me. Purr, it is one of the happiest habits for both of us. Now, it sounds he comes up. Please go ahead for breakfast. I’ll take a nap under your kimono coat. Purr … purrr …

X’mas Already
StandardJapanese people, including Mei-Shun of course, love festival. They enjoy all through the year; New Year in Jan., St. Valentine’s Day in Feb., Girls’ Festival in Mar., cherry blossom in April, Golden Week in May, summer vacation with obon from the end of Jul. to the same of Aug., Halloween in Oct. followed by Christmas in Dec. Jun., Sept. and current month have nothing special, often drown into following celebration.
Pink Rice
StandardIt is actually not, yet Mei-Shun called them so in her early childhood. (お)ままごと=(o) mama-goto, house playing was one of her favorite. It means to play a role of mother who serves good meal. She is not sure that was why she drew a omikuji related to harvest after finding that lovely plant the other day, while feels very happy. Shin’s one mentions fishing, together reminds them of good ancient days in Yayoi Period (300B.C.-250A.D.).
Best Moon
StandardOh, she comes up from tree tops. Mei-Shun feels so happy to have such a clear sky, which slight shower washed crossing sunshine yesterday. We can enjoy 十五夜 or 仲秋の名月=chushu-no-meigetsu, the most beautiful moon in the middle of autumn tonight. Thanks to Shin who brought tasty 月餅 from Hong Kong on weekend, his wife passed by sweet rice dumplings this year.
Happy Birthday
StandardMom, Mei-Shun and her elder sister would like to say it again. They gathered at her home today to hold a lunch party celebrating her 2-month-delayed anniversary. She told them that a pack of crape mix is available, yet it was found to be for pancakes. Well, no problem. Two housewives were flexible enough to bake, cook and serve; green vegetable soup, pumpkin salad, potato filling and a mountain of pancakes were on the table.
