She was a bit tense until seeing Admire Serena for the first time, yet such a feeling immediately flew away when she found her round eyes with brown, long eyelash catching her own. Yes, all you have to do on horseies is to trust them. They are so clever that you should just relax to inform them of the next action. By legs, spurs and short- or long-whips if necessary, although Mei-Shun does not like the last one.

StandardMaster Mei-Shu belongs to generation of heavy phonograph records. It was so hard to bring weighty items to lesson sites, she says. She currently uses cassette tapes, some of which derive from old phonographs via open reels. That is why they are full of noise and jumpiness: original source were already hurt. Rain, Rain, Rain
Standard… prevents Mei-Shun from walking for a week, while horse riding class today. Her next reservation is on 30th — well, it does not sound so bad to go up to the next step at the end of month. We had 秋分=shubun, the 16th of 二十四節気 yesterday. It is said 暑さ寒さも彼岸まで, meaning torrid or freezing weather would end at the autumnal/vernal equinoxes. So please, Ms. Stationary Front, leave our archipelago by Sunday, the last day of current 彼岸=higan as summer does.
Quite Worried
StandardMaster Mei-Shu has not felt very well. She is a little eater, rapidly lost weight last year. To our relief, no problem was found after CT and MRI examinations at a hospital. We would like her to stop here, or she might be blown away by a breeze. Her current condition brought back to Mei-Shun an awful memory of several years before. She had dysautonomia with serious dizziness when she tried to make a turn-around. Japanese dance includes much of this pattern, forced her to refrain from lessons for a whole year.
Gi-ya-man
StandardIt means glasses in Japanese, coming from “diamant” in Dutch. He is a lovely boy with a pinch of mischievous flavor. An upside-down v letter appears when we part his mane hair on the forehead. Honey, did you leave another v somewhere in the field? Normal stars are in round or diamond shape, much more you have the very name of the latter.
Awful Storm
StandardMei-Shun had to cancel today’s lesson for horseback riding — shower, flurry and sunlight come one after another, confusing her so much that she finally stopped making decision. Storm always means a stay-at-home. Even airplanes avoided landing at Haneda Airport this morning, still less do a poor driver.
Missing Horsey
StandardAnd Mei-Shun is still haunted by it. She had reserved a lesson for this morning; Friday, 90-minute, by Ms. I, it has been the best for her to concentrate so far. Well, similar accident could occur anytime. It looks better to change her schedule, into evening for example. As it gets warmer, annoying flies increase to attack horses. Sunlight burns our skin.
Irish Soldier
StandardHe is so gentle that unskillful riders including Mei-Shun would be accepted. He never gets angry even if another horse approaches from behind too much. Only cacophony of airplane engines could make him frightened a little. Thanks to him and beautiful cherry blossom, Mei-Shun seems being relieved gradually from trauma made when she fell from Dreamer.

StandardMaster Mei-Shu gave Mei-Shun a lesson. The latter was surprised at hina dolls still displayed — it is a custom for Tokushima women to show their dolls for as long as 2 months before and after March 3rd. It made Mei-Shun feel like turning back time to February. Now we have enough time to prepare for 邦楽発表会 planned to be held on November 13th, don’t we?
