Caps and Hats

… are among fashion items Mei-Shun loves. She found today a cute knit with a sale tag of half price! All right, since tomorrow is her lunar birthday, you would be her gift purchased by herself. And oh, you carry the same tag as well? She would like to bring both of you home. Such an exciting shopping after a tiny operation actually. Good bye, an atheroma in her left ear.

Moon in Coffee

Lunar 2018 starts from today. Mei-Shun visited the nearest shrine for the second New-Year greeting to Gods while prayed them for good health of her family. Since that includes successful diet for herself as well, she felt reservation at a hair salon on this date would promise a fortunate result. Following cute cup and saucer was served there, 5 minutes from her home.

Looking Spring

Mei-Shun made a phone call to a master of 坂東流=Bando-Ryu, who has shared the stage in Tsuchiura City Hall with Kikunoe-Ryu. Actually, she planned to join the former party’s performance in Tokyo in April, yet had to give it up because of her master’s sickness. It is deeply wished last night’s super-blue-red moon would represent her recovery and contact soon.

Dentist Anew

Standard

Since Mei-Shun caught a cold after a dental care in November, follow-up treatment could not have been given so far. She therefore meant to see Dr. M today, yet instead a friendly hygienist checked before cleaning her teeth. No problem was found on them, while a piece of advice to masticate equally on both side. Thanks a lot, see you next month — oh? Clearer image of Mt. Tsukuba is here.

Snowy Messenger

Standard

Here is Mr. Snowman I by mom-in-law. He was born on Tuesday, keeps his style in a white coat with a cabbage hat on his blue hair. He lives next to our post box, kindly observes paper delivery service. Thanks to him, Mei-Shun learned this morning that one of Tokyo Metro lines plans to give users classical music aboard. Debussy’s “Clair de Lune” is on the top of examples.

Keep Practice

Mom tried to dance 京鹿子娘道成寺 the other day, looked feeling awful and shocked. Meow, that is because you neglected in it for a long time. Since lunar December starts from today, my advice is to walk to the nearest shrine to pray for Gods’ protection on your progress in Japanese dance. Have you already, before raining? And you know what to do next. Purr, well done.

Her Culture

So shall we think about our goal of 2018? It seems to Mei-Shun that the supermoon at night of New Year’s Day will lead us toward a bright, prosperous year. Well then, may she wish to brush up her body? Thanks to 3 original methods, she put off 3 bags of sugar in 8 months. That means she could lose further 6 bags in 1 year and 4 month from now, doesn’t it?

あけましておめでとうございます

Standard

A Happy New Year! Did you see the first sunrise of 2018? Of course Mei-Shun did, while never had thought of her goal of this year before 24 : 00 of last night. It is because they say 来年の事を言えば鬼が笑う= when you talk about matters of next year, demons would laugh at it. That means your future cannot be foreseen. She agrees with the idea, told herself not to have any pipe dream. Oh, what a beautiful 十五夜 moon!

Dark Riding

Standard

Although a crescent shines beautifully in the sky, it is a bit hard to stay on horsey’s back at night in winter. Coughs prevent Mei-Shun from joining such class from 17 o’clock — so sorry, Ms. I. Two lessons from 14 : 15 and 15 : 15 selected Mr. M and Mr. X respectively. Boys, please accept Mei-Shun’s apology for replacing the former by gentle Amazónes while the latter by lovely Maria in another class.

New Moon

Standard

It is great for Mei-Shun to walk to the nearest shrine after 1 month, on 朔日 meaning the first of lunar November. Last time found colorful foliage, while this time all different. Rice paddy changed into beige field covered by frost, looked hard in dark shadows of trees. 手水鉢=chozu-hachi, a square basin to wash hands before prayer in the shrine garden was frozen.
