Lovely Guest

Hi, welcome onto Ms. Piano. You are the baby gecko who took a rest on Mei-Shun’s apron the other day, aren’t you? Although she must be very careful not to let roaches in at the beginning of autumn, no trap would be available — she has made one of your friends pass away in a sticky box, felt so sorry. Please stay as long as you would like. We hope you could find something tasty here.

Too Soon

Standard

It is a bit, darling. 萩=hagi, bush clover in our garden might make a mistake by cool weather from last Friday. Since summer has come back with mercury over 30 degrees Celsius today, Mei-Shun is worried about you. Please do not try to go into full bloom, just stay on her kimono. Autumn flowers are to be featured on traditional Japanese clothes and sweets according to lunar calendar.

Respect Melons

Standard

They seem to like early, sultry summer of this year: the third couple visited Shin and Mei-Shun. Oh, what a lovely ornament you put on! Is it handmade of your producer? Nice idea to help them wait for a while to enjoy gist of you two. Beauty in looks means taste of the same, at least for fresh fruits. It has taken longer time to ripe than their predecessors, yet the result was just incredible.

Gecko Joins

Hello, darling, great to see you again. You visited Mei-Shun and her “student” who were dancing in yukata last Wednesday at a nearby community center, didn’t you? Well, we saw together 大暑=taisho, the 6th and last of summer 二十四節気 today. It normally represents earlier, yet bingo for current scorching weather — Tokyo recorded 40 degrees Celsius for the first time.

Little Star

Oh, you are the one grown on Mei-Shun’s balcony, aren’t you? Whitish violet stays on every short stalk, shining at the bottom of cherry trees. Great to see you at 乙戸沼 Park again. Of course you have a real name, yet please let her call you after far-away asteres aplanis. Their light reach our mother earth traveling billions of years, just like you did to give a new life onto a withered flower plate.

Tea Rose

Standard

It is a group of those beauties whose scent is the most admired. However, following image blooms in our garden with a name of Black Tea itself. When Mei-Shun saw it at a shop, a flower between salmon pink and orange in photo attracted her. She brought it home, planted carefully in accordance with attached instruction. And this is the result — reddish brown blossom in spring, pinky orange in autumn.

Lovely Seven

Standard

They are ready to bloom in mom’s garden. Mei-Shun loves their simple beauty: thin petal in dark blue-purple without any lines. Such splendor might be understood among grown-ups only, not so much preferred by children. It comes from her memory at the kindergarten where she joined “Plum” and “Iris” classes, compared with her elder sister’s “Cherry” and “Rose”.

Lovely Whites

Standard

Here they are, 姫空木 and lily bell in our garden. Both of them make Mei-Shun really happy — she loves white flowers. Snowy willow babies from her mother have grown in good health as well, look full of power to survive after planted on the ground. Expecting 穀雨=koku-u, the last of spring 二十四節気 tomorrow, they will rush toward sunny days of the next season.

How Praiseworthy

Standard

You live under the balcony tap, drink a little when Mei-Shun use water to wipe fence surface before hanging futon mats. She waters your family in smaller pots enough, leaving you alone. Please let her say a million thanks to your excellent survival in lovely flowers. And the same to you, Ms. Fragrant. She never recognizes your blossom until she visits backyard shed to replenish Mr. Aladdin’s stomach.

Hasty Women?

Standard

Yes, he is correct. It is not served by a post office nor a parcel delivery. He does not need any signature. At least a few years have passed since Shin and Mei-Shun ordered pizzas for the last time. So funny with the latter who prepared a name stamp when the bell rang. And you are as well, Princess Peach. We are still nearby the middle of March. Please calm down and think twice.
