Mei-Shun used to visit monthly a local bank to get new bills. Our traditional arts including kabuki dance, 茶道=sado tea ceremony, 華道=kado flower arrangement for examples, often welcome them rather than old ones. On the other hand, ATMs of her main bank sometimes offer notes clean enough to work for such opportunities. That seems like a lottery, would be her new custom.
Elder sister Y kindly sent Mei-Shun one of her favorite fruits; cherry, this year again. Her husband worked with its growers in Yamagata decades before, keeps in touch with them. By the way, does above precious stone have other colors? … ah-ha, they are sapphires including pink one, green, blue of course, etc. It sounds much better than calling them red/blue corundum respectively.
We have 夏至=geshi, the 4th of summer 二十四節気 today. It means the longest daytime, while hardly recognized caused by 梅雨=tsuyu, our most rainy season. However, dry and windy weather allowed Mei-Shun to hang futon mats and laundry outdoors in the morning. Afternoon saw it get darker and cloudier, let her bring them in to find lady’s tresses bloomed a bit.
Meow, mom and I ordered a flower arrangement for dad. And it was he who received it on delivery yesterday morning. Please kindly accept our gratitude, purr. Hi, Mr. Happy Crescent, great to dance with you today for the first time. Still a boy at several years old, Mei-Shun quite likes his power, would like to control it. And the same to yours, Ms. Nuts, who helped her training in a class for 4th-grade aspirants. It seems similar to 名取 which beloved Master Mei-Shu always called an entrance. So there are 2 of it where this dancer/rider stands.

Meow, mom has made it a rule to visit a pâtisserie in Tsukuba with me on this date every month. And a flower shop as well today, to order an arrangement for dad expecting Father’s Day on coming 19th. “The latest time was when he stayed in a hospital 15 years before”, she told me. “He always congratulated me on Mother’s Day. Why don’t we do the same to him together?” Great idea, purr.

Happy birthday, elder sister. Mei-Shun met her yesterday, for the first time in amazing 3 years hit by that still “novel” coronavirus. She looked fine, replied that 佃煮=tsukuda-ni, fish and shrimp from 霞ヶ浦 Lake simmered in sake, soy sauce and sugar until half-dried, would be preferred as a gift to peanut crackers. All right, it would be delivered ASAP. Now Ms. Piano, which of above shall we sing tonight?
Mei-Shun went out early this morning with Shin to visit home of her parents. Mom invited her younger daughter to stay for a while with elder one as well. A welfare personnel came to check her health, decide if she is eligible to receive subsidiary money when put a handrail along porch stairs. Well anyway, it is great to meet your family in person, isn’t it? Thanks a million, daddy, for leading them to gather here.
Meow, mom put Mr. Blue into 押入れ=oshi-ire, Japanese-style closet in the bedroom before vacuuming there. So we never have 梅雨寒 anymore, thanks and see you next winter. After cleaning, laundry and futon hanging, she walked to a nearby hair salon. Twice a week, and turn to horsey riding again?
