This yukata or summer kimono is from mom-in-law. Since a bit small in size, Mei-Shun used it as an underwear for longer one to practice 恋の手習い. Washed over and over, it has become soft enough to change into a bathrobe. It often reminds her of Master Mei-Shu who also gave her last 名取 many including one the latter praised when the former lady put it on.
Shin, mom-in-law and Mei-Shun visited a restaurant serving grilled eels. This delicacy is popular on summer 丑の日=Day of the Ox during 土用=doyo. Yet oh, it starts from tomorrow to continue until one day before 立秋=risshu, the 1st of autumnal 二十四節気. They therefore went too soon for a week, how nice a mistake! A big egg roll would also help them to keep lively.
Meow, this is the 2nd day for mom to get on Ms. Scarlet with me to visit the patisserie. She compared two photo books this morning, between 恋の手習い from 京鹿子娘道成寺 and 梅の栄 performed on the same stage, yet a decade apart. Hi Tora-chan, thanks to welcome Mei-Shun back home. Listen, she meant to enjoy dancing with a horsey today when a shower stopped before noon. However, it started again while she was heading toward the club on Ms. Scarlet accompanied by little Mikan-chan. What happened on a scale after Monday is therefore unknown. Ms. Full Moon would not be seen at night either.
Mom-in-law is really good at growing plants. Mei-Shun recognized vines of watermelons behind Ms. Scarlet, took it a good challenge. On the other hand, Shin tried similar on the roof floor years before to make a fiasco. Difference between this mother and her son seems to come from how much they care for fruits and vegetables; she looks them after daily, he does only once a week.
Mei-Shun saw her home dentist Dr. M in the evening. The former patient asked to change a reservation previously set at the end of last month — scared if such torrid weather might burn her in daytime. However, it has become much cooler from last week thanks to our friend Typhoon Aere. There was no problem in her mouth, while a little on the way to home with a slight traffic jam.
Great to see you again, dear Bambi. Shin and Mei-Shun went out for dinner last night, served above bottle, a glass of wine and superb dishes at one of their favorite restaurants. White asparagus was featured on the menu top, nicely grilled covered with whipped sauce. Quite caloric followed by meat plates, yet all would be consumed by dancing in a wood with Princess Maria for the wife today.
Meow, Ms. Black Tea in our garden gave a tiny flower. She might keep good patience during a sultry week after the shortest rainy season — on behalf of it, Typhoon Aere still stays in the east of Kanto area. It is also rare to have it go through this archipelago in July. Mom seems to think that I’m in charge of weather, yet she is a bit wrong. My hope is dad’s and her health, that’s all. Purr … purrr …

We have 七夕=tanabata, Star Festival and 小暑=shousho, the 5th of summer 二十四節気 today. Mei-Shun practiced canter with Mr. Great Fighter in fresh air. Well, she never calls it dance, since her technique has been seriously deteriorated. Not so much in 松の緑, perhaps thanks to lessons so far. She wishes the same soon work in above, yet it is always accompanied by a lovely partner.
