Following below is lilies in the garden of the nearest shrine. They always show pretty white flowers, let Mei-Shun walk toward here to see. However, it was a bit too late to greet Gods: the door was already closed. And she bought a box of bath aroma with lily scent by chance at night. Really the last box on the shelf of a drug store, might call her who believes a saying 残り物には福がある, the last one means the best.

Summer’s Come!
Standard10 days are said to be the hottest in our country, after the end of rainy season. It really seems to Mei-Shun — news this morning informed us that the long-stayed front (delayed 8 days from average, amazing 30 days compared to last year!) has finally left Kanto Area. Heat wave and humidity descend toward the Japanese archipelago at the same time, more and more cities hit nearly 35 degrees Celsius.
Pretty & Tough
StandardMei-Shun found a butterfly baby on the wall of front porch last night. No leaf around it, alone, looked a bit bizarre under lamp light. His/her intention was clear, to grow into an adult to fly from here. In this morning, it was safe with yellowish shade. And it took only a few hours to make a green pupa. Mademoiselle Vert, you keep blooming for amazing 4 months. Please give your power to that tiny soul.
Another Choice
StandardMei-Shun found it pleasant to walk out in the evening. Yes, May is one of her favorite months — daytime getting longer, the sun seems to stay in the sky even after set around 19 : 00. He gently shine over young rice paddy, strolling dogs and a well-wisher heading to the nearest shrine. She dropped in at a supermarket, used her shopping bag as a weight for arms exercise.
Thanks to Mom
StandardJasmine and basil pots following below came from a flower shop whose owner florist is very friendly, generous enough to add something nice for Mei-Shun almost every time she visits there. Yesterday was Mother’s Day, perhaps one of the busiest and the most lucrative for such business. She felt therefore quite satisfied with their simple job in making a bouquet full of carnations including new breed “Moondust”.
Last Mademoiselle
Standard25th and 26th sisters almost bloomed at the same time, including another in upside-down position, needed aid a little. And 28th has just arrived. It is amazing that all buds opened safely, making Mei-Shun feel so happy. By the way, some of you kind followers might wonder why she does not call the 27th. It is kept for the unfortunate one who was hurt to fall by this careless owner.
White Ladies
Standard姫空木=hime-utsugi, Deutzia gracilis in our garden is currently in full blossom. Lily bells under Momo-chan or Princess Peach began to give nice scent. Mei-Shun loves white flowers, feeling happy to see them stay lively. And she must not forget to report on Mademoiselle Vert to you kind followers including Prof. S of course. She has bloomed the 23rd and 24th, leaving a few buds still small.
Hello Again
StandardSeason has come for pheasant guys to sing loudly. At least two compete for territory in rice paddy spread under the hill which accommodates the nearest shrine. Mei-Shun listens to their song walking along a lane, sometimes finds them flap in sunlight. However, they are so clever that photo taking is difficult. She therefore chooses cherry trees who kindly give enough chance.
Friendly Flowers
StandardOne of cherry trees planted in the garden of the nearest shrine has a long arm, almost touching the ground. Such shape is often seen at river banks, let people on boats enjoy direct communication with those pale-pink petals. Thanks to cool weather of this weekend, they are still in 70% bloom at maximum around here. It would be the best for young children to make debut at school soon.
Week-holiday
StandardShin and Mei-Shun visited one of their favorite soba restaurant for lunch. Yes, he is going for a business trip on weekend, made today off to stay with her. After a nice meal, they drove to a site where beautiful cherry trees are accommodated; violet pink, weeping one in similar shade, pale pink 染井吉野, etc. The last is almost full bloom in Tokyo, yet still in buds around here.
