Mei-Shun rushed to乙戸沼 Park in the morning, hearing today would be the last sunny day before rainy season. It seemed first that all lady’s tresses were cut by lawn mowers. Along her walking course around the pond, annual iris festival is held right now, accommodating colorful ones. Hi, fountain lilies, lucky to see you. And oh, your survival is highly appreciated.
She finished blooming, made up a fluffy seed ball. Mei-Shun admires this little and strong life, hopes to see her surrounded by children next year. Such idea reminds her of the BGM aired in a beauty salon. Mr. H, her hairdresser who often puts on nice T-shirts, hinted Charlie Puth whose hit tune has been used by a lovely figure skater, yet she could not recognize his voice in another song.

Still too young to call them so, rice paddy spread along a lane to the nearest shrine seems already doubled in height. Are you kind followers capable of finding a wild duck couple, float like green boats on water? A white egret and a gray heron also greeted Mei-Shun.
Our Golden Week seems the best time for rice planting. Utilizing these serial holidays, half-and-half farmers and salaried workers let the former do it. It is so refreshing to see watered paddy, partly with green babies in line already. A wild duck couple is so quick to find their best food table and swimming pool. Thanks friends, for flying away which let Shin and Mei-Shun admire your blue feather inside wings.
… Mei-Shun of Tunisia, the only African country she has been. When she went to a flower shop to send a birthday arrangement for Professor S, the owner kindly gave her this tiny pot for free. According to her advice, it survives well on the ground after blossom. It would join white beauty of 姫空木, lily bell and 雪柳 or snowy willow recently planted in our garden by mom-in-law.
Here they are, 姫空木 and lily bell in our garden. Both of them make Mei-Shun really happy — she loves white flowers. Snowy willow babies from her mother have grown in good health as well, look full of power to survive after planted on the ground. Expecting 穀雨=koku-u, the last of spring 二十四節気 tomorrow, they will rush toward sunny days of the next season.
Just terrific, aren’t they? 八重桜 in 乙戸沼 Park is now in 80% blossom, seems the best for Mei-Shun. She drove Shin to the nearest station in the morning, turned to the opposite direction to home. Surrounded by aromatic pink of cherry and refreshing green of shell-like gingko baby leaves, she did some stretches. Walking had to be spared to reach her favorite hair salon in 高輪, Tokyo on time.
